you were talking about ends dose that mean we have to pick one of them or can we end with all of them?
sounds good, reminds me of a certain other femdom game dev cough cough koda cough cough... so I can help people code their games for profit?
Almost like if I was to learn to make mods but instead I collab with the dev and make it part of their game?...
What game?sounds good, reminds me of a certain other femdom game dev cough cough koda cough cough
Yeah that's a fair point. No idea but im not too optimistic about it, because most games are not that popular. Sure the top 1% in popularity probably makes enough cash that even sharing it between a small team is meaningful, but, I think coding is the lesser hurdle. We are talking maybe even less than 100 porn games like that in existence. (edit: altough thining about it more, one off programming solutions could interest several times more small solo creators even with low income)
Coding can be sort of learned in a month to the degree some hobby project 2d game needs it. Art looks more valuable to me, if you get good in it over several years, it makes the game... as long as the things almost anyone can do arent screwed up too bad. If SP never had an inventory system it would still be a great game.
Absolutely agree on writing, i didnt mention it because it would be very hard (or impossible) to come up with a formula on what makes writing succesful. Aside from pointing out things that make it fail. At least i cant do it. So its hard to weigh how limiting it is for a project. Its neccesary , in theory anyone could come up with something good , in practice few can implement it well consistently. But in almost any game its possible to discover some core idea which came from inspiration and has potential. Somehow its always an afterthought for me because its not a glaring hurdle but something anyone can experiment with. On the other hand i cant start drawing stick figures in the hopes that some will turn out to be top smut.Yeah that's a fair point.
Unless the game is so full of bugs that it's unplayable, then the coding is always less important than art and writing. Although I do think both art and writing matter.

I think if you make a really good game and give it time, then it's probably gonna be successful. Maybe I'm biased, but I can see reasons why games have low success.
Also, a decent game still needs time for people to support it.
Do not mention its cursed name, lest ye wish to suffer for eternityWhat game?
Personally, I think the key factor is how well you can appeal to your audience's kinks and tastes.Absolutely agree on writing, i didnt mention it because it would be very hard (or impossible) to come up with a formula on what makes writing succesful. I cant tell how big the interest is in getting competent coding, but I can tell if art and writing isnt competent then all those games dont really need advanced coding as a priority.
Looking into renpy sounds interesting though. I plan to do it at some point just in case. Maybe there is an opportunity to make something later even if for free.

absolute legendA bit of both! For example, I have already worked with another person regarding the code (more specifically, the Gallery, which was beyond my basic coding skills). I would like to work with him again when more coding challenges appear (like the UI rework/inventory system). That said, these are limited, one-time exceptions limited to programming. Otherwise, Star Periphery is my passion project, and I simply can't imagine someone else working on the content!

Im not saying anything, but if i did, it would be March based on how frequent the updates were in the first year, but also because expecting the earliest possible date is probably not a good idea in general, that would be late Feb. But I didnt say this, because VP didnt specify a deadline, it could go any way, life happens. Its also possible that doing all the planned main content prolongs a release by a month. He would probably add or postpone some work on side content to keep the releases regular if needed. Just my speculation, but my impression is that despite everything being planned ahead he'd leave a bit of the side content flexible like that to have room to maneuver, improvise and implement new creative ideas that dont neatly fit in whats on schedule. We've got a very professional creator. So to summarize, im not saying March.whens the next update coming out??
The best thing about VP (outside of making the best futa on femboy game, with the hottest femboy MC ever) is the constant update and previews he gives on his Patreon/Subscribestar.Im not saying anything, but if i did, it would be March based on how frequent the updates were in the first year, but also because expecting the earliest possible date is probably not a good idea in general, that would be late Feb. I am not promising anything (yet!), but what Saky says makes a lot of sense! I'm aiming for March, but again, I need to finish more stuff before I will give you some estimates. Regularly updating and keeping you all in the loop is the least I can do!The best thing about VP (outside of making the best futa on femboy game, with the hottest femboy MC ever) is the constant update and previews he gives on his Patreon/Subscribestar.
Every 4 days or so, there is something new, featuring details regarding the update, photos of the ladies and MC etc.
Like how many other creators actually do that shit? Not saying anything bad about them, but having a dev who doesn't disappear and only shows up when the update is ready, is really fucking amazing.
TLDR. VP, you are awesome.
Not going to happen.Love the style but unfortunately futa is not my thing. I hope there will be a vanilla version.
