I'm hoping the conquer the galaxy part of the game works better this time. It was kind of ridiculous how you had to individually order fleets to every single one of the hundreds of planets in the last one, especially as the game was running at a snail's pace because you had the mother of all brothel-casinos running at the same time.

It's 0.1. Always manage your expectations. Are we sure all the tags are right?
He did this in the last one. Said all the bugs were there from when he first created the game. Never fixed all the bugs. Let it slide because beats broke-ass Skyrim. SM1 still doesn't run particularly well. Hasn't changed a thing. New game, same old issues. Enjoy your buggy messes people. Or get on his case about it NOW

I played StationMaster 1 from fist version to the last, can't say I seen much difference. Final version was still quite bugged and badly optimized, I would hardly called it finished. Never played any version for long cause of bad optimization (I do have quite a good PC).
I really hope this new StationMaster turns out to be better and good luck with new project.

OK so my understanding is that this isn't so much a sequel as a remake. Trying to fix the issues of the past to build a better future. The previous was never finished due to the build up of errors making it impossible without a complete remake. Which is what this will be.

To anyone, don't waste your time downloading this version at the moment, the game is almost the exact same as the other one, with the exception that this one is worse in the optimization, if you want to play, play the first game.

By this logic if it's good and there's a sequel then the next game is Stationmaster 3. Not buying it.

I'm hoping for more interaction with personal slaves in your quarters. And with the other factions. More diverse aliens, better looking furry models. More interactions with planets you own. Don't need many more things in your station, just more refined animations and fix the heads so if you get an alien the damn game doesn't replace all the human models with it....

I've been a supporter for a long time on patreon (even when he tried those couple other projects he gave up on) and honestly am pretty disappointed with this. I know it's .1 but it still took awhile and it feels like it's going to be a side-grade to stationmaster more than a objective upgrade.

I hope he actually adds some incest events this time. I asked him to add one with your mom or sister visiting in stationmaster 1

Honesly, all he had to do was actually fix SM1. Optimize it. Not going to waste my time on this version because he has a habit of abandoning his work. Leaving things unfinished. SM1 was a great game in theory. He really needs to prove that he can actually finish SM2 and then make sure it is not as bug ridden as SM1. And I am never going to give him $30. His reputation with SM1 is why. I might try it in about a year. Which is about how long it takes him to do any work on his games. I do not think he is honestly dedicated to anything he does. Which is a shame. I would love to see him actually complete a game that works.

I think the name is confusing people, this is more like SM1 2.0 rather than a sequel... It is literally what you want, a fixed version of SM1 with less bugs.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. If the sex animations get fined tuned, clothing works better on the models, and doesnt get bogged down, I am sold. Right now models look less defined as last version but will see how plays out

Does the game work for any of you guys?
Seems as if the tourists/citizens use no facilities/services at all, i never got any money this way.
I bought a few station upgrades then for my space station, but after reloading a save those were gone.
So currently the only way to gain money seems to be from random events. Wanted to try the new space combat, but this way i can't earn enough money to ever conquer a planet.

Am i just unlucky or is it more or less unplayable in the current stage for you guys too?

The first game was pretty great despite the wonky animations, sometimes-uncanny models, and crashing if you let it run too long. (which is pretty amazing considering those first 2 factors make or break most games)

If we can just get the first game without those 3 things I'd rate it an 11/10.

Anyone figured out how/where to edit save files yet? With the last game I just openly edited them in notepad, gave myself a ludicrous quantity of cash and went berserk. This game's files seem different, and so far locating the values for money, influence, etc in the saves seems harder.

Odd choice to start developing a sequel using the same engine and with the same problems. The first game was always a good concept with poor execution, presumably due to engine limits and/or poor coding. Is there something new you are planning to bring to the table with this one, or anyone helping with coding to make it more optimized, ideally while also making it look less assy?
