after reading all comments i must say that this is just a fucki ng first version xD

the dev works alone if im not mistaken, and he still did all from the beginning i was a patreon of him but im not sure about that, but it doesn t matter. its just a first version, this game will have more tags than the previous one or at least the same eventually, the dev has more experience , he will still make mistakes but not as the ones in the past he needs time, this kind of game isn't like the usually shit you see in latest updates, this one is actually an ambitious project, with the best ideas i've seen in a porn game so far, and there is only one person doing it. with time ,and the help of people who iknow shit like add things (cheats, deatures) in the game externally, it will be the best porn game in this page


what i hooe for this version are simple things, more NTR scenes( netori) wher you as the master of the station, steal girflriends from boyfriends because they don t have money, then you have dialogues and all that ( it's my kink
also , more dialogues and interactions between the slaves, it's just fucking nuts because you can have infinit slaves and do all the dialogues between them is nearly imposible only with 1 person working, but i still have hopes to something similar with less work )

and finally what i really want is that while you are reading an event, the scenes plays out in the same time, that's something sm1 didnt have and i would really like to see it here. i dont care if i have to conquer 1 by 1 the galaxy i love to have "childs" , make them study and be charismatic to rule my planets later ( childs from mothers i have netored from their boyfrirends/husbands) everyone has their own imagination, what i would like is to have lto use less my imagination and see it plasmed in the events of the game XD

I'm definitely hoping for more events that add a bit of immersion. SM1 had some interesting potential of quests associated to some characters, but couldn't really deliver on it too much. The event system would need a lot of improvements to allow for more variables to track progress and characters in play. Additionally, it wouldn't be bad to tag limits on certain characters that are part of a quest line. IE, can't sell or kill because it will end the quest line. or can't put them in certain jobs or tasks due to requirements.

Scripting an animation scene to go with the text would be good, but take a LOT of work on the developers part. That's definitely something they probably shouldn't consider until they have all the basics running.

yes i thought that much, it's an insane work but it woudl beat any game here if things are doing like that :)

Am I the only one having trouble getting it working? It consistently freezes as soon as I press "New game" and no amount of waiting helps.

I think this is one of the bugs that has been fixed in 0.2, looking thru the discord stuff.

Been playing 0.1. They need to focus on interactions at the station and get the station polished before turning it into a conquest game. Also need to automate some of the details in handling slaves.

He actually did finish the previous attempt, he put out a final version, it just ended up bringing back some of the more annoying bugs that he kept having to repeatedly squash whenever they came back from the dead.

I really enjoyed the first one, but my memory is that it consumed a ton of resources.

Glad this first release came out. Fooking forward to when incest and pregnancy is added.
I've been a supporter for a long time on patreon (even when he tried those couple other projects he gave up on) and honestly am pretty disappointed with this. I know it's .1 but it still took awhile and it feels like it's going to be a side-grade to stationmaster more than a objective upgrade.

I hope he actually adds some incest events this time. I asked him to add one with your mom or sister visiting in stationmaster 1

Nice to see the first release is already here. The first game was very enjoyable, although poorly optimized and with outdated tech. For what I know, the dev wanted to create this "2.0" rather than to correct the programming in the first one, as it would be easier this way. Let's see what do we have here, but I'm quite sure that, in time, this will be much better than the first one.
He admitted in the thread for the original that he made some mistakes early on that became too much of a hassle to fix by the final version, making this a better option.

this needs more work and better graphics but it's already better optimized than the first ! it lacks a lot of things but keep the good work i love this dude
I'm not sure you can get better graphics with what he's using, he's using what look to be DAZ models (again), which in my experience is exactly the issue graphically.

He did this in the last one. Said all the bugs were there from when he first created the game. Never fixed all the bugs. Let it slide because beats broke-ass Skyrim. SM1 still doesn't run particularly well. Hasn't changed a thing. New game, same old issues. Enjoy your buggy messes people. Or get on his case about it NOW
He did fix them, but every attempt at fixing bugs dug up old ones in a cycle that never seemed to end. That clothing issue with the citizens and tourists in the first was a major example of this, he would fix it only for it to come back when he moved to add another feature or fix.

OK so my understanding is that this isn't so much a sequel as a remake. Trying to fix the issues of the past to build a better future. The previous was never finished due to the build up of errors making it impossible without a complete remake. Which is what this will be.

An entire rework from the ground up in the code is the biggest change, there is basically nothing of the old game under the hood. This allows him to not make the early mistakes that made some of the issues basically unfixable in the original by the time the final version came out.

Honesly, all he had to do was actually fix SM1. Optimize it. Not going to waste my time on this version because he has a habit of abandoning his work. Leaving things unfinished. SM1 was a great game in theory. He really needs to prove that he can actually finish SM2 and then make sure it is not as bug ridden as SM1. And I am never going to give him $30. His reputation with SM1 is why. I might try it in about a year. Which is about how long it takes him to do any work on his games. I do not think he is honestly dedicated to anything he does. Which is a shame. I would love to see him actually complete a game that works.
Every time he would fix something, another thing would break, usually something he had already fixed before. Then there were some things where some early design choices made fixing them almost impossible. A complete code overhaul was the right call here and that is exactly what he did.

I think the name is confusing people, this is more like SM1 2.0 rather than a sequel... It is literally what you want, a fixed version of SM1 with less bugs.
Yes and no, this is a completely new game under the hood. He has stated in the other thread that he basically reworked the code from the ground up.

It is a 0.1, that's usually the case. It's a miracle if a 0.1 is not a buggy mess somewhere along the line.

Odd choice to start developing a sequel using the same engine and with the same problems. The first game was always a good concept with poor execution, presumably due to engine limits and/or poor coding. Is there something new you are planning to bring to the table with this one, or anyone helping with coding to make it more optimized, ideally while also making it look less assy?
He's reworking it completely, none of the old code exists from what he said in the other thread. This allows him to fix some of the really bad issues that were in the original throughout all of its development as he can make it so they never happen. This includes the animations, which were one of his bad design choices that snowballed into an impossible issue by the end of development in the original.


I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Despite the buggy mess with the sex scenes, I really enjoyed booting up the first one. Not sure if I'll download this version or wait for 1.1 to see what direction the new content will be going in.

It was fine if you didn't change the citizen and tourist caps. Which of course people did because the sliders are there.
There was an issue that kept popping up where the game would slow down over time, even with default caps. Hopefully that doesn't happen in this one.

The main issue I had was that the first game would go straight to the inspection screen when you aquired a new slave, which made assignment easier. In this one, you have to manually do it, which is a bit more tedious.
I think there might have been the opposite complaint in the first one, meaning that this might be intentional as a result.

Brutality is the only chance that the project will not end like the last time. If it is the same (agin and again new content, instead of bug fixes, until their acummulation kills the project), it will be waste time and money. Author loves fresh content, and hates to polish them.

Here's a technical demo. And the big problem that makes it impossible to show progress at work for a year: fatal optimization. It is extremely heavy. Concentration on this problem doesn't help with marketing (no new content). In the past, author avoided it like the plague. Until finally abandoned the project. Unplayable collection of bugs and technical problems, announced the final version.
To be fair, he tried to fix what he could, which were mostly performance issues, but every fix caused a different bug to reappear. By my count, that clothing not appearing on the citizens issue happened three separate times and the memory leak that caused the game to slow down over time happened twice, including the final version. In this one, he has the ability to not make any of his early mistakes that were already made by the final version of the original since this is a ground up code rework. That means potentially not seeing most of the long standing bugs from the original or the results of some early design choices like with the sex scenes. The original is also not unplayable nor was it abandoned, he did what he set out to do and moved on, leaving what he could not fix behind.

The first was ambitious, so is this one, and yeah, I also believe he works alone. I agree on most of what you said for what you want to see and it would be nice to get a bit more in the battle aspect as well instead of just doing it where they basically go out and conquer planets behind the scenes, even if we only get to watch the battles. I know that's asking a lot, basically asking for RTS style gameplay without the interactions, but it would be pretty cool.

I feel that, my issue with Rise of Exalted was the fucking screaming lol. Like I get it, but jesus christ

I can see both sides of it. For players mass buying slaves, the immediate placement could be a bit tedious, especially after raiding multiple planets in a row. On the other hand, I usually became more attached to slaves gained through some events, and would be a bit more personal when customizing and assigning them.
I think a compromise could be reached with slaves bought versus slaves acquired via events. Maybe after some events, you're given the option to immediately assign and customize them or have your drones take them straight to the slave quarters.

I think all of his games had the screaming, didn't they? I know SM1 did for any slave that was not obedient or broken. I had to turn my volume way down because of it.
If I remember right, the scream was only there if you have the extreme content mod installed. Otherwise, slaves would never fight back. There was probably a few events in the base game that used it too.

I know it was for me, though I never told Stationmasterdev that. Specifically when conquering entire systems by hitting the star at the center, which conquers all planets at once. I could then potentially go through hundreds of slaves before I ever get back to station view. That's kind of bad when you go after a system even partially controlled by one of the more aggressive NPC factions because those you need to essentially blitzkrieg or take a near constant beating from while you prepare to fight them or even while still going through that slave list from conquering the planets that got you into war in the first place.

I never played without the extreme content mod, so I don't know if the scream was there without it. All I know is the scream was there as long as the slave was disobedient.
