Also on the NTS path, Marcus streams the sex but Julia doesn't know her husband is watching. Sure, she's gonna tell him in the next update and she even sent him a photo to tease him, but she wasn't aware he was watching, which again, what's the point of those cameras if we can't use them? I'd much prefer if the sex scene on the NTS path was from the pov of the cameras instead (with animations and all that). The whole Marcus streaming the night thing doesn't fit. This path is supposed to be between the MC and his wife, not anyone else.
There's a difference between choices on a path leading to some outcome (to which you are referring) and that outcome being expected or okay given the choices that were made (to which I am referring).
If the MC was necessarily okay with her cheating on the so-called cheating path, then there wouldn't be the option to call her out on having overheard her suck the dude's dick. Did the MC tell her at any point that crossing that line was okay? No. Teasing and flirtation is definitely a step removed from engaging in sex acts. Even if the MC tells her that he was excited by overhearing this, she acknowledges that she feared she went too far. So either way, she knew she was doing what she was not supposed to be doing. That was the one thing that I personally didn't like - Markus taking control of it. It would be different if he discussed it first, but as far as he knows, it could just be idle fantasy and Patrick doesn't want to take it any further. Markus takes that decision away, and also betrays Julia by filming it without her knowledge. Or not even filming it, but basically streaming it to her husband.
We know that Markus is just a horndog, so he's not doing anything for the benefit of the fantasy, he's just trying to get his dick wet, and on any form of sharing path, I think all parties need to be on the same page.
On the cheating path, the MC isn't "necessarily okay" with it. This is just the first time he's had the option to call her out on it without exposing that he's been using hidden cameras to spy on her. It's not a big defence, but it was probably the only thing holding him back previously. You have an opportunity if you didn't disconnect the phonecall, and once it's in the open, you can choose whether it's something you're okay with or not okay with. On this path, Julia knows that she is cheating, she just doesn't know that Patrick knows it as well, so if he doesn't let the cat out of the bag, she's going to continue trying to hide it by lying and saying nothing happened.
Right. The FMC is also far too comfortable with her partner's privacy being invaded, with Vika and Markus speaking of his porn watching habits based on his internet browsing history. When you said I "picked the path", I thought you were referring to making choices in such a way that endorsed that outcome, but you were just referring to having made choices that led to that particular path. No that makes perfect sense - I think we could come to common ground then in that the choices poorly telegraph the outcomes.
I was trying to get at - I wouldnt use events on the current cheating path as good reads of Julia's behavior, since she's supposed to be mean on that path. Again, agreed the path choices are poorly telegraphed. I'd suggest playing through NOT on cheating path, DONT pick "put clothes on to go meet him" then judge her actions accordingly. Obviously, there's still plenty to criticize.
