They do handle all hosting, distribution anything related to game's actual sale.
There is also the fact that they have the carefully polished feature set and UI thats been devved over the years.


Steam could definitely lower the cut and still be massively in the green, dont get me wrong, but something like even 20% would be equitable trade when you think all you get by being on Steam.

Also, I too, have just bought it.

If you are from Germany or CN, then yes, adult content is blocked in those countries unfortunately.

Any adult focused content is not allowed on Steam in those countries. Germany don't allow to show any genitals and heavily sex theme games.

Technically porn games are allowed, but they need to make sure the buyer is over 18. Simply asking the user for the date of birth is not enough, there needs to be proof and Steam doesn't want to implement a system like that.

They require USK rating, which you won't get with too much adult content and visible genitals.
