Steps of Debauchery – Dev Log – Episode 5.0 & DLC

Hey everyone!

Today’s post is a bit longer, but I’ve got a lot to share - both about what’s coming in the next few weeks and what we’ve been secretly working on over the past year. I’m not someone who likes keeping things hidden, so I’m really happy I can finally tell you more!

Exploring the Big Apple is out now!
Let’s start with some great news - , a game created by SadPepper and published by us, is now available on !
It’s a bit different from our usual genre, but I personally really enjoyed it, and I think some of you will too. It’s a shorter game, but also cheaper than most others - and it’s currently on sale, so now’s a good time to grab it!

Episode 5.0 release dates
Now, moving on to Episode 5.0. As many of you know, the new update will be released in early November. Here are the exact dates:

  • Devoted+ tiers: November 5 (evening CET)
  • Inquisitive+ tiers + Steam & Itch: November 8 (evening CET)
  • Attentive tier: November 15 (evening CET)
What’s coming in Episode 5.0
Here’s a small preview of what you can expect!
You’ll get around 2,200 new renders, lots of new animations with sound, over 20,000 script words, and 9 new scenes - some of them really big, with up to 400 renders each (for comparison, early scenes had about 50–100).

This episode focuses a lot on the school setting. You’ll paint with Beatrice in art class, learn some anatomy with Professor Wilson, and get involved in whatever Dean Scott and Madison are planning - something tells me their rivalry might heat up… or maybe not!

Mr. X will play an important role, and Riley will do a live stream with Elijah in a rather unusual place - can’t imagine what people will think when they see that live. Richard will be happy to have Riley’s help during the Whisky Club meeting, and there are a few other scenes I won’t spoil for now. There’s plenty to look forward to in early November!

Check out a few new renders below to keep you hyped!

Big reveal – new DLC!
And finally, something we’ve been keeping secret for a long time - a brand-new DLC!
It will be released in mid-December, and as you might guess, it’s Christmas-themed. But it’s not your usual short “bonus story” - this is a fully-fledged expansion, set in a new festive world with few hours of content.

The DLC includes nearly 40,000 script words, around 2,500–3,000 renders, and more animations than you have seen so far. We actually planned this DLC from the very beginning, and now feels like the perfect time to bring it to life. I’m sure you’ll love it!

Some people might say we should’ve focused on the main story instead, but this DLC gave us a chance to try new ideas, experiment a bit, and give you something fun before Riley’s next “naughty” adventures begin.

You’ll find a few NSFW preview renders from the DLC below - the spicier ones will have to wait

That’s all for now! I’m heading back to finish Episode 5.0 so it’s ready on time with no delays.

Just guessing here but, I'm pretty sure Mr X is Richard the neighbor.
surely! and i cannot wait for more content on this route! for me the most exciting one!
- but there are other interesting ones too
(just not such a big fan of the "mafia route" - at least at the moment.)

Fooxied So I know how much I should get my hopes up for that anatomy lesson, are we going full suspension of disbelief as to what would realistically happen in a classroom?

while not a fan of side stories / dlc or whatever. I don't mind it here because it means more Riley just not sure if i'll buy it right away with Normal video games being my priority cause of steam sales that time of year

So beyond excited. This one sounds like a big one. I'll also be purchasing the DLC if it's made available on Steam, that's an easy choice.
But not to glaze Fooxied too much, I'll joke and say that I am once again disappointed that the female swinger (Sam I think is her name?) won't be in this. I can't wait to see her in action (hopefully). I'm curious if she'll set up the fantasy that Riley told her on the boat and maybe get a little action of her own.
I also wish we had the Lara cosplay back, but I will take whatever I can get.
Stoked for this Fooxied. Keep up the good work.

I don't see how any of those ideas couldn't have found their way into the main story other than missing out on an additional buck or two. Why not be honest about it? The game has a lot of empty space still and is far from filled to the brim with excitement. Moving the plot forward is certainly not the only concern.

Magic, sir. Magic doesn't appear in the real world.

Anyway, I already mentioned in a previous post about the DLC that it is meant both as a break from the main SoD story to avoid burnout and as a way to support future finances. I’ve never hidden that.

I disagree. Or how do explain it that you can use ones and zeros from the other side of the plant to control my blood flow?

Not really a fan of stuff that happens outside of the main game, including the DVD stuff. It usually destroys the flow of corruption. Why you're afraid of a burnout when the sandbox has so much potential to include a lot of non-linear events is beyond me. The lake, beach, train station, construction site, mountains - those are settings with plenty of assets on the market. Progress with the story to make Riley finally sleep around more and you'll have plenty of options to sell extras. This isn't rocket science (which is real magic).

Just don't overprice the dlc dear dev it would be funny if that dlc costed more than the game itself on steam!

It is funny how you don't know what you are talking about.

While I'm not a fan of side stories glad you are giving us something fun and extra so you don't get burnout instead of working on something else or taking a break since it just means more Riley
