I had a similar issue, deleted and redownloaded and went to flat and suddenly the girl from the shop was there and the shibari stuff triggered
Pretty sure getting the official version of the game helps

New Steam version got it fixed, people that used 'scroll' to go back to previous renders were bugging their saves.

yeah, and that broke all the saves from the last version before the "hotfix" rendering it unplayable without restarting again. hopefully this will get fixed in the next release.

#Episode 4.0 current progress and hot previews

Hey everyone!
Time for an update on our progress two weeks after the last release. I’m happy to say things are going really well. Thanks to taking unpaid leave, I can fully focus on the project, and because of that, we’re moving faster and more efficiently.
As you can see, we’ve nearly finished writing the scripts for the latest episode. I think we’ll have that part wrapped up in the next 7 days. We've also completed 30% of the required renders and animations, which is a number I’m pretty happy with for just two weeks of work.
As for coding and testing, we’ve fixed all the reported bugs in Episode 3.2, so everything should run smoothly now.
As you can see, everything is going according to plan. We're still confident that we’ll be able to release the next episode before the Xmass. It’s going to be one of the bigger ones, but not too long - it will contain plenty of branching paths and answers to some of your burning questions. I won’t spoil anything else—you’ll have to wait until December!

They may be close in terms of subscribers, but this game earns the developer more than $15000 a month. So in terms of revenue, it's still way, way above than Netorase Phone.

Also it's a fMC game, which a lot of people don't even try in the first place, compared to a vanilla "mMC in a college scenario". So it has somewhat of a lover "potential player base" right away.
