The MC is such a dichotomy! He visits his mum and sister most nights to try and have sex, including getting her drunk. However, when it comes to being faced with the real thing, he is doubtful, unsure, contradicts himself and almost tries to avoid any sexual contact. God, what a dick!

I get it and agree in several respects.
Accept the writing to make no sense, common sense or logic at all.
Expecting less from the author in believable content can result with less regrets.
