I personally love that you are making us have to wait for some hot gay action to happen. For me there's nothing sexier than a bit (or a lot ) of backstory before the sex, like getting to know the characters and their personalities. I don't know if this is going to happen, and I'm surely not asking you for anything because you are the storyteller, but I wouldn't like for Zack to end up with Braden; perhaps that's because I'm a bottom and I find Zack more attractive, because he looks manlier than Braden, and I'd actually like to see him paired up with another manly dude (but again that might be my sexual taste, telling me that 2 manly guys are better than 1 LOL) or because, I really believe that Braden might be actually straight, at least that's what I interprete, again, that's just my opinion.Nah, I get it. Everyone plays these games for their own reasons. For me, even if I watch porn, I need a plot or I get bored. Story has always been something I hold in high regard. If I'm playing a game by someone else, I like getting teased a bit. That being said, I think you can overkill a tease--which is why there's more skin in the recent updates. To me, Wife and Mother is a good example of overkill on the teasing (since you mentioned straight games). While I still respect the artist's vision, I think there were missed opportunities.
I also want things to appear natural. For the amount of time that followers have invested in these characters, to simply sacrifice that for a quick scene would probably upset the entire game flow. I'm not avoiding sex on purpose or trying to draw it out just to make money. For the characters involved, that's a long shot between them. I've always looked at this story as being very adult vs just being "porn." Kinda like an HBO series. Will I get to some messy stuff? Fuck yes, lol. My dirty ass has a folder full of a few ideasHowever, as the story unfolds, it's certainly taken on more "romance" characteristics unintentionally and I'm cool with that. Some people will appreciate this approach and others will become increasingly sexually frustrated. There's more skin in v0.9 but no sex: honestly, I think v0.9 has "something for everybody." When I finished, it sorta had an eclectic feel to it that I was really satisfied with.
No offense taken on your post, Fenric. I appreciate your point of view and your active role in the forums here regarding the game. But just think how good a bust that'll be after edging for like a freaking year
Concluding, you are doing an amazing work at the time of telling this story, it does seem natural, It's obvious that if you find a guy attractive and you just tell him so, you won't be getting action 10 seconds after that, except you are in a club, but this is not the case. KEEP ON GOING, YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING.
