Just adding my voice to the others who've posted here. Been following this game's development for a good long while, it gets better month-by-month. The developer is dedicated, talented and very chill. He's responsive in Discord, and has a couple buddies helping with his game-dev, so there's always someone to respond to fans.
If you're looking for a sweet, impactful and fun visual novel about a fairly realistic gay guy and his struggles to find himself during College; this one's for you. Hope everyone who reads this, decides to give the game a chance. If you want to support him on Patreon that's great. But if you have no cash to spare, please message the developer (here, Discord, wherever) and let him know what you thought. For all the work he has put into this, I'm sure he appreciates feedback.

Drumming up support is always a good thing for promising games like this, but nearly 3 months without an update doesn’t help the situation.
I wasnt aware there was a "situation ." I've been pretty open about why this update was taking much longer than the previous ones. There wasnt a good place for a story break that made sense for the momentum of the story so we elected to finish out the current chapter and essentially make a double update. Lauching an update earlier would have negatively impacted the pace of this particular part of the story. I remain in complete support of this decision and I believe that my team and I completely knocked this update out of the park because of it.
I believe the passion that goes into this game has its roots in decisions like this and not schedules. This game is designed for a specific and personal purpose and it needs to be crafted in a way that meets my own expectations without compromise. I will always remain concerned about the time it takes on updates but at the end of the day, it's usually the donating supporters that are begging me to actually take a break. If you believe this isn't the case, join the Patreon and read the posts or lurk in the Discord and see how we interact with the game supporters.
I'll also point out that the new update was already dropped on January 4th, one day before the "situation."

Though I am relatively new to this site, I would like to take a moment as a fellow game developer to say yes a lot of these things take a lot of time to do. Though I don't particularly have experience with Renpy, I would like to point out that this game is quite possibly one of my favorites.

I"m honestly ok with most negative comments and dont really take them too personally. Most of the really negative comments have been completely ridiculous to the point that i can't take them serious. One of my favorites came from some idiot on a YouTube video that said the "writing was so bad it looks like this guy's has only read 10 books in his life." That one still makes me chuckle, but lowkey I kinda feel bad for whatever unhappy shell sits behind his screen.
One thing that I've taken pride in this game on is that the vision has been secure throughout. Many complained about the lack of adult content, they wanted more porn, and even suggested that I'd make more money on my Patreon if I went the porny route. I probably would but that's not the point of the game and, for the sake of the readers and fans, there's no reason to betray the intregrity of the story just to make money on Patreon. Fuck that. I made the story for my own reasons and will continue to march towards that finish line with the same vision and it won't be compromised. Sometimes we have to make hard decisions to reach that vision. Sometimes I've fucked up and didn't meet that vision but that's part of the learning process. Other times, this like this time, we made a decision and were completely transparent about what we were doing with the game supporters. As a result, we probably made the best update in the entire game. It was definitely the right call. I honestly expected to lose supporters because of the time this update took, instead I gained more.
I'm cool with what i've created and i'm proud for not having any experience with any of this crap before. And i get to make the game with a few friends that i love to death. Can't beat that. So imma stay positive. I appreciate the support and the love man. This will never be the best game out there... we just don't have the resources for it. But it'll be as good as we can make it

Just wanna let you know Aaryn that I was blown away by the latest update. Yeap, I've already played it as I am a patreon supporter of yours. That's probably the best VN that I've ever played by far. This one really has soul and depth ("literally") and all the hard work you guys put into this really matters.

Wow, thanks. The reaction to v017 has been insane. I was worried about this one plus I've obviously been concerned about the time that it took to create it. But I havent heard a negative comment yet...even despite the storytelling risks we took with this one. I'm really proud of it.
Also, thanks for the support and the shout out to others for the support. I def wont say we're the best. We still have a lot of goals for improvements in the future.but its coming along and honestly, this is probably the best we've done.
There is nudity in the game and there are sexual scenes but they're fairly limited because the game mostly focuses on story. However, nothing is really edited out so when people are changing clothes or in the shower, you'll see nudity becuase people are naked in real life

I've been playing the game for a long time, I don't know which version, but I've been waiting a long time for the 0.17 version, I understand that we don't all have free time as we would like or maybe there's a disinterest, I can understand as time goes by it happens.
I'd like to say that it's a great game, normally I give a lot of importance to the story, if I just wanted some sex pictures, I would have gone on youporn. But I really like the design.
The game updates are not content that last 3 minutes and that's what I appreciate about the author, despite the waiting time, the quality is there.
I don't know if we're getting close to the end, but I have fun with each new content.

yeah, v0.17 did take a long time. I can assure you there was no disinterest. On average, I spend about 40-50 hours a week on this thing and I have a few friends working with me on it. The game is pretty much always being worked on. Hell, I even write and code on my lunch hour during my normal job. The dev teams talks daily and honestly, I rarely take breaks from it at all.
I'm glad that you mentioned that these updates are usually fairly long. That's one thing that I think we usually deliver on: when these updates drop, if you kinda read through and savor it, there's a decent amount of content. In contrast to other games, this isn't a 3 month wait for 5 minutes of gameplay. While it's really hard for me to judge how long the content is that's added with v0.17, people are saying it's taking them about 2 hours to go through it. I can't speak from personal experience because I always get distracted and have to fix things. I'll also say that v017 is heavy and I've encouraged people to take it slow. There's a lot to unpack in it. So while some may complain about the wait, I haven't heard one supporter yet complain about the quality of it and I haven't heard one person say it wasn't worth the wait. In fact, most people waited a few days after playing it before they were really able to piece things together and comment. Hell, it took me a good 3 days to really appreciate it and I wrote most of it. There's a lot to unpack. It was well worth the time it took for this one. No regrets. It's the best we've ever done and I'm proud of the guys that help me on this thing.
