Patreon used the creators to grow their brand and then kick these creators off their platform after taking them for all their worth, which is a shitty thing for anyone one to do.
OnlyFans did put up a defence eventually for their users but Patreon is rolling over.
It's our money! so we shouldn't let institutions like payment company dictate what we can and can't use it on. This situation make bit coin looks good, even though it's a pyramid selling scheme.
It raises relationship points so that you can do other activities with them later on.
Saying that even 90% of the internet is porn is hyperbolic, yes there is a LOT of porn on the net (it is generally thought to be about 30%).
Patreon was conceived of to support creative types who wouldn't otherwise be able to make a living. A portion of those creative types will be making adult content, I don't know the exact percentage, but it won't be the majority, here is a link to the most popular creators on Patreon (

) if you look there only one (Darkcookie) is an AVN which looks like it has about 30k subs, and it is estimated that they make just shy of 50k a month given that Patreon takes 5% that means that if they kicked them of the platform they would personally lose about $2500 per month from a monthly profit of 1-1.5 Million, as you can see it is pretty small change, even if you assume that adult creators on Patreon mirror the net porn stats and they would loose 30% of their revenue, they might just do it if they were being threatened by the financial insitutions in the same way OnlyFans was. It would be like running a motel in which all the local whores hire rooms, if an organisation which promotes morality moves in next door and promises to destroy your business unless you ban all the whores, would you do it? Likely yes, is it fair? Not really no, but alas that is the system, and while you can hate the player, your anger is better directed towards the system. It is just a shame that the system is faceless where as Patreon most definately has a face.
