I use it and yes it's working, it doesn't break the game.

why not use cheats so u have to do less efforts

even with cheats + my own cheat mod on top to make things even less annoying + looking through the code and walkthroughs, it's still grindy, you have to repeat all possible interactions multiple times in the hope of finally unlocking that eluding 1% character progression
