Not sure about that. I've only played up to 0.50 and the only time Mia was inside the motel was some days that Jil was fitness training. I've just downloaded and unrened 0.55 and did a quick look, but didn't find anything. Do you have any dialog for the scene where they are sleeping?
It should just be, have Jil as your roommate and one day she'll come. NOTE: First time she may just kiss you and pass out.

Have you gone to the appointment alone? Once you have all the prerequisites for it, you need to make an appointment for you and Lisa, but just turn up (i.e., don't go to Lisa first and get her to take you there). Yeah, and there was also a note saying no bugs were found in v0.55.0, so it sounds like the next update will be an actual update instead of the usually 2-3 bugfix updates.
