It is totally possible that minor releases keep stacking above 99, just like the dev could decide to release the 1.0 version next time, instead of 0.53. You should try to learn a bit about a topic before talking, instead of making a fool of yourself.

You definitely have comprehension issues, so, let's try again, and if you don't get it, I'll give up : a version upgrade from 0.99 is not necessarily 1.0, you can go 0.100, 0.101, and so on. If the developer decides that 1.0 is the complete release (which is not necessarily the case), it may happen whenever he decides to do so, and it is very unlikely that he planned exactly 100 minor versions until he reaches that point. Minor versions just stack until the dev decides he is done, if he does not abandon the project beforehand.
