I think you have to progress in the task where you catch and cook the yellowback fish before this one will trigger. Rachel will be sitting by the shelter holding some Yucca leaves.
There is a short amount of playtime where the MC is unconscious because he was bitten by a venomous snake. During this time, you play as Rachel and make an antidote to cure the MC. It's' the only time you play as a female protagonist in this game.
Use the save I posted earlier or use console command:
"jump appartment_repair"
and yes, apartment is misspelled.

When you enter the game and activate the console (shift o), the screen turns gray and the console command line appears. You put the command there ( without "" ) and hit enter

Which version are your playing mac or windows? and can you tell me if the bug is in beginning or later?
Because I just started the pc version and images are loading properly.
