I'm using the mod and both in the mod and the normal version the quest is described the same way.

Did you cheat with variables at some point? Because one of your variable is inconsistent. It is False while it should be True (because next variables in the related storyline are True)

Are you able to use the console (Shift + O)?

The only variables I changed were the mood and arousal variables, keeping them at maximum.

I can't explain the situation. I'd say it can't happen

In order to fix your save, you have to:
- open the console (shift + O)
- type sunbath_05_handjob = True
- close the console and bath in the pond

It's NOT in the hut, look to the right of the door for the canteen

The canteen should nearer the corner of the wall,
have you tried tapping the "H" key so collectable items flash in and out.

I tried using an old save trying to finish the Newcomers quest. It says that I need to make some sleep juice (which I have at least four times since I restarted playing again) and put in Steve's canteen. I have never seen this canteen at any time (when there is no one at the cabin at different times of the day.) I have read where it is supposed to be to the left of the cabin entrance. It is not. So either the canteen is a fiction, or my save is corrupted. I think I possibly used a mod at some point?

I have spent weeks of game time trying to complete this, so does someone have a save just before or after this from their game that they would be willing to share?
