I didn't play the update where Steve reappears and Rachel starts fucking him again without a second thought (per the thread feedback and screenshots from the game) so no idea if he actually banged the other women or not, just that seemed to be implied by what the feedback was.

As for Rachel being the one cheating with the MC, well how long were they on the island alone? People can and do change their relationship in short notice, if they really want to. Just because someone *had* a relationship with someone else, doesn't mean they immediately jump right back into it again with that person if they have spent a lot of time with someone else and developed any interest/feelings for that other person. To assume they ignore any new changes that may have occurred is to ignore the often murky interactions in human relationships that can occur.

So, again without having played the previous release where Steve does pop up, Rachel could have easily turned him down regarding sex, if she really wanted to do so. For any number of reasons, that she wouldn't have to explain to Steve.
” As for Rachel being the one cheating with the MC ”-MC have memories of Steve's cheating (with a waitress) even before the trip on the boat. Maybe those which put these need to play the game from the start!

I Can see you did not play that update and it shows....

So lets clear up a few things
1) MC and Rachel never became an official couple.... lets just say it's complicated.
2) She never broke it of with Steve (Or told the MC that she will break it off with Steve. In fact, it's the opposite. She constantly mentioned that she still has a boyfriend. When the MC and Rachel finally have sex, it's in fact just a few days before they found Steve. (It was about the same time they made the rope that would be needed to climb the cliff)
3) Rachel did not just go back to Steve without feeling guilty about the MC as if it meant nothing. She was still constantly thinking about the MC.... even to the point where she was thinking of the MC while having sex with Steve. But for all intents and purposes, Rachel and Steve were still a couple.
And to be blunt: It would be weird for anyone not having sex after spending weeks apart.

Just because someone *had* a relationship with someone else, doesn't mean they immediately jump right back into it again with that person if they have spent a lot of time with someone else and developed any interest/feelings for that other person
I mean it kinda does. Imagine if all the military men that went on a tour of duty, came home and their GF just broke it of with them, or wives just divorced them.... I would call them shitty GFs.

And that's the crux of it. Rachel cheated on Steve with the MC. Not the other way around. (The fact the Steve also cheated on Rachel is irrelevant. Rachel never knew about that.)

I mean
R+S = couple ----Steve goes missing----shit happens ----Found Steve---R+S = Still a couple.
I mean how shitty would Rachel have to be to just dump her BF that has been "lost" for weeks for no reason at all. It's not like they had a fight or that he changed.... she just cheated on him. So if anything she felt guilty.

” As for Rachel being the one cheating with the MC ”-MC have memories of Steve's cheating (with a waitress) even before the trip on the boat. Maybe those which put these need to play the game from the start!
She did not know, so she still cheated....Come on, it's not hard. The were still a couple. The fact that he is a cheater does not change this. They both cheated.

” ...She did not know, so she still cheated.... ”- That's what you think, in reality we don't see the whole story on the boat until now, there is a moment when MC investigates Steve's dubious actions (towards the ship captain's daughter!)! And for your puritanical logic, pretty much all directions lead to revealing Steven's villainy, except that Rachel is pretty much the only one who is convinced of his uselessness and villainy last, although she gives in completely to him when they see each other again on the island, leaving MC's side.

Dubious actions? Seemed pretty voluntary :sneaky:

The dev showed quite early on that Steve was a jerk, that he cheated with a girl in the bar, then on the yacht with the stewardess... Likewise, on the island, pretty much everyone could see his worthlessness, that he didn't cooperate, that he made life difficult for others by consuming their supplies and without contributing to the common effort. Everything only shows that in one way or another he will separate from Rachel or disappear from the landscape, because he is not useful, it just seems that some people can't understand the fairly simple way to develop the story.

I mean.... there's really no moral high group to be taken when mc has spent the better half of game groping and abusing girls in their sleep.....

I'm not claiming Steve is some paragon of virtue - he's definitely written to be the 'bad' guy.... but I think the most level-headed take is all the male characters are fundamentally scumbags, and will do whatever they can to bed more girls. (aside from flirting and charming them )

Dude...

Steve is the bad guy... I get it... BUT

Were they (S+R) in a relationship when they got on the island? = Yes.
I have a screenshot of Rachel saying Steve is my Boyfriend after the arrived on the island (a few pages ago)

Did she break up with him? = No.
So that logically concludes that they are still in a relationship.

It can not be more simple than that. She cheated on her BF.

Come on man, I'm on your side... I like Rachel, I like the MC, I hate Steve. But facts are facts. She cheated on him with the MC.

And I do agree with you on everything else...He is a worthless leech and parasite. And yes, they will seperate.... but that is part of the story to tell. This is what is currently happening. They are busy breaking up.

So the game is handling it more realistically as opposed to F95 logic.

Better Story

You might prefer the F95 version, but by God, the other one is so much better.

Back to the game we have in hand, am I stuck on this silly yacht for the rest of the game? Or is there more back at the island afterwards? Curious if I'm working towards something....

To be fair it would be boring to only bang one chick in a game.

It's a male fantasy to bang plenty of chicks in the game. But bringing them all together to a realistic conclusion is pretty much always terrible. Even the ones where the MC needs to get back to one after banging everyone and his sister is normally very awkward.
I mean its actually pretty tragic.... Rejected by the MC, but also destined to die alone without happiness, because they have been graced by the MC's dick.

There are a few that does it well in my opinion.
My favourite harem game is of course Dessert Stalker. That one works perfectly. Then where the MC in in some elevated position (king, Emperor, insanely rich, Mafia boss, pimp etc.) can also work.
BID (hate it or not) does it pretty decently. Looking at it objectively, the MC comes out with his honour intact.
Pretty much the best MC for me was the one in Leap of Faith. That guy has better morals then me, while managing to bed pretty much all the girls in the game.

So it can be done, but it's damn difficult to do it well.

You do get back to the island after the yacht.
The Yacht was a tad too long for me as well, but there is some VERY GOOD stuff when you get back on the island. You have to play to 100% (It's not a lot left after you get back, but it's pretty damn good)

Of course not, it's perfectly possible to skillfully tell a story without any of that.

But all this is sidestepping the elephant in the room, the context of which this discussion is taking place.

What gets under my skin the most with this game is there's all kinds of shocking and reprehensible behavior the mc does without batting an eye. Players go through this- presumably whistling while they work, then the takaway is steve-competition bad???
Yeah, because Steve is not the MC. It's rather easy to explain. It's the classic "It's only okay when I do it".

The developer has something new on the Patreon. Is it really the announcement of a new girl in the team?
