Interesting. After doing work out mine is just becomes 6.

Then open console and set it as below. Checked mine was 3 before doing that quest.

So I can't find the flowers to get the Honey, where the Walkthrougth says they are located doesn't show what the walkthrough shows, so I can't do it and Steve comes in and does it because the game is broken. Also Steve brings wood back every day but the things to lower Steve's influence are a one time thing.

Why do you think you need rocks to light the campfire?

The second item you need is not a rock but "Dry grass". You can find it near the cave entrance.
