In that sense, what you say is correct for most of the game. There are some puzzles (like an escape room, which requires a lot of player input, although it is skippable), but most of the time the game is 90% kinetic with only some choices in morning chat and then the occasional major choice (starting something like Day 4 or Day 5, they begin to happen every 2 or 3 days). Interactions throughout the day, however, are pretty much kinetic: you are just along for the ride. Those are all story elements, not gameplay. I agree the story is interesting, but I'm finding it difficult to get fully invested when my input is limited to very occasionally selecting one of two dialogue options. I don't even get to decide where the MC goes and when, just mindlessly click through a few sentences of text at a time. I feel like maybe somebody forgot to tag this as a VN.
Honestly, I think the story elements and the humor are where this game really shines. Wildman does a great job writing this as a sexy thriller — bit by bit the true danger and culprit(s) is/are revealed, all sprinkled with considerable humor and quite a bit of sex as you get farther in. He also does very well with characterization. Everybody's personalities bump into one another (metaphorically and literally), and they react the way you would expect based on who we've learned they are. By Day 4, you've mostly seen how the game will go, with the small interruptions / changes to gameplay here and there that I mentioned.
