Haven't played this, but had it in my to-do list. I'm reading stuff about "new" devs? How the fuck does that even work with a VN?

The developers posted this in their Discord, stating that they are aiming for a release in early to mid-May. The script for Season 2, Chapter 3 was written by Flynn the original creator, before he departed. The new developers have made additions to the script and created all the renders for this upcoming release. As for Season 2, Chapter 4, it will be entirely developed by the new team, continuing the story solely based on Flynn's notes.

I just hope they're not just capitalizing on someone else's game, they're currently at $400+ on Patreon without releasing anything yet
well, that's interestin, I guess  . I don't worry about someone else's money, tho.

I am so torn on the last choice. I can't stand Athena but I also hate to have Venus fight Mercury.
Imo the correct choice is to not fight Athena the first time around and negotiate, saving everyone's life. Did I do that? No, I just cheated the option with URM, but there is a path where everyone lives.

I didn't know that. I think I just have a serious issue with Athena's proclivity toward universal punishment for individual misdeeds. That by itself makes me instinctively want to fight her at every single opportunity. It isn't the entire towns fault if someone turns away a stranger, just like it isn't the entire towns fault that several ladies died. Sure, punish those responsible but leave everyone who had no hand in it alone.

I feel the second one was in a little more of a grey zone. There were actual risks to the girls safety and actual risks to the towns existence if they just banned the brothel. Still doesn't excuse the scope of the enforcement. Who tf was that cute twink gonna hurt? Nobody.
As for the faceless town it's a failure of the entire town that nobody offered the future fury safe lodging. Problem there wasn't that the who town was punished for the failings of the entire town but rather that future generations who were entirely innocent were still being punished.

Athena honestly doesn't seem to me as bad to me as she's been made out to be though. She's a seriously fucked up and traumatized individual with way more power and authority than she has any business wielding. It's no wonder a lot of the things she's done ended up the way they did. The power structures within the rest of the pantheon seem no less fucked up than her, it's just that the consequences of Athena's bad decisions are faced by the people instead of young and impressionable gods like Athena. I suspect that Flynn had a bit of a redemption path carved out for her given some of the hints we'd gotten in the last update but who knows if we'll ever see it under the new dev team.

Athena is what I would call a sympathetic villain. I do feel bad for her and would very much like a redemption path for her where the MC can recruit her to his side. Up to this point, all the decisions feel so black or white with little grey area in between. It is either stand up to Athena or let her do whatever she wants to do. So far there hasn't been a third option where you can reason with her. Maybe I am wrong but if that path exists, I haven't found it. I just can't imagine Athena ever respecting the MC as an equal worthy of listening to if he just lets her do whatever she wants. In fact, standing up to her in that last fight may make her realize that the MC is worthy of her respect, I'm not sure.
