Dude, stop pretending that you were turned off by Lumi's model. It is literally a female model with dick added on top. So technically speaking - Lumi is a girl.
Honestly it was imo already a mistake letting best girl Misty be entirely avoidable. A second avoidable character for joining the village would be too much. Given how Lumi might very well be dead on quite a few people's playthroughs that'd mean any scene in the village that has both Misty and Lumi in it is going to need 4 different version; a version with both of them, one with just Lumi, one with just Misty and one with neither of them.
Personally I agree, Lumi's best boi. Super cute and a total sweetie, even if he is a literal whore. Functionally though? Just seems like too much work for a character a lot of players would choose to avoid. Either the amount of renders needed for any village scene would skyrocket or he'd be criminally absent from village scenes.

The entire reason Lumi went missing was because Mercury realized he was a man from the village who'd been in the brothel and was going to kill him for it. Attacking Athena was to rescue him, the discussion beforehand was Athena trying to justify herself to avoid the fight, which was actually the most interesting point of the update imo. Despite how haughty she was acting she respected the MC's power and potential enough that even if he was her enemy she tried to avoid a fight with him.
Play through the third choice, negotiate, and you make a deal with Athena to let the boy go. Mercury protests this by saying that he knows who she is and would compromise her position in the village. In other words as soon as Lumi had seen that Mercury was Athena's fury and the one behind the so called curse she was going to kill him. Since in the leave choice the MC doesn't negotiate for Lumi's life there's absolutely no reason to assume he'd survive and quite a bit of reason to assume he wouldn't.

The deus ex machina during the last fight was bit a unfortunate. Would have preferred something else. like MC pressing on the damaged part of the Aegis, or MC recalling his fight against Sirius and trying to copy him a bit.

and Torr got 25 additional points just for beating someone 1 single rank above. MC got only 40 for beating people at least 5 ranks above him, and only 45 for a black belt that is supposed to be the pinnacle of ranks...
