The level of the enemies at the park in the previous game scales around player level. I believe with the degree of 3. So enemies in the previous game could be 3 levels higher or lower than the player. Regardless, this game is designed in a way that the player is stronger than enemies five levels above him. (1 level is 5 stat points and the player starts with 25 stat points + you get 1 skill point)What's the point of having a leveling system if by the end of the end of the previous game you could argue that the MC was relatively powerful and now just a random thug is several levels above him? and he's just lvl 1?
The player also has the Specialist Type, which doesn't have stat penalties. The way I think about it, level is just a reflection of your experience. Which is why you level up when you get experience points, right? What compensates for Shin's lack of experience is raw talent(the stat advantages I give you) and combat intelligence(how the player plays the game)
Did I pull this explanation out of my ass? Yes, I did. If I'm being totally honest, it just makes sense for a new game to start at level 1 to me at least.
Every female npc with real pictures will eventually get scenes. As for why the player has an anime avatar, it's because some clips show the male actor's face. It's to make it kiiiinda okay to have the male actor's face show up in the clip. Like if I use Ryan Gosling's face for the MC, you'd think "who the fuck is this guy in the video then???"On another note, it's a bit of an odd choice to have real pictures for every female npc, but have an ai anime generated picture for the protagonist, just like random cannon fodder thug characters.
I get that the guys in the scenes don't look like the avatar lmao but it gives me a bit of leeway, unowamseyin'?
