~ If running a paging file, is it manually restricted or system automated?


Given the size of the RAM usage in the event log that got posted yesterday, it's clear there's paging going on.

My quote was explicitly to this statement '... game crashes a lot ... in this post. I have not had a single crash since the first versions and the statement is simply too generalized to be true. I agree with your statements that it depends on certain setups, which is exactly why i phrased as I did.

That's why I'm asking what your settings are respective to those specific variables.

This is in part irrelevant, as I was running a WIN10 with this game as well and never had any crashes on it either. Roughly same setup, 16 GB of mixed memory actually. Most of the time when people have trouble it starts with the base setup and not some application. Running Windows on a bare minimum setup and expecting applications to perform perfectly is another classic source for a majority of problems.

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: StripClubWars.exe (4904) consumed 119428882432 bytes, Photoshop.exe (15876) consumed 4366090240 bytes, and firefox.exe (14780) consumed 564121600 bytes.

A novice here, but I'm thinking this game is a resource hog. I should try running it with everything else down.

Chuck us a screenshot of the settings in the below menu:

Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance settings > Advanced tab > Change button

Feel free to black out drive names, as I'm primarily checking the page file size per drive and how many drives.

what you mean by system setup ? i have new netbook with win 11. few months old. but as they told in other post, crashes are most liekely related to memory leaks, so pc with smaller amount of ram (mine only 4GB) will get into problems faster.

it was best avaivable for desired size and weight. regular 15 or 17 inch notebooks were to big and heavy for my needs. so i have 12 inch.

edit. if you are interesed, tehn this game is extremly similiar to lab rats 2 which i also run on my netbook, without an crashes at all since time i purchrased it. so it is very unlikely it will be because my netook is "not enough" or win11 or other instaled programs related.

and since these two games are extremly similiar i dont expect system reguirements to be significaly bigger for strip club wars.

Which is exactly my point. 4GB of RAM is the absolute minimum to run just WIN11. Applications running on top of it have nothing to do with WIN11 requirements, they have to be calculated on top of those. Your base system is already on the limit when running minimum specs.

but as i told, i run lab rats 2 without any problems at all. and they are extremly similiar. mayby these problems exists because scw is coded in unity while lr2 in renpy ?

No they are not similar. LabRats 2 is made in Renpy while this one is made in Unity. The engines are completely different, the way assets are handled and displayed as well.

P.S. As of that memory leak argument from earlier: leaks are a clearly defined thing. Most perceived memory leaks are not leaks actually but exactly what you experienced. Lack of memory.

No they are not similar. LabRats 2 is made in Renpy while this one is made in Unity. The engines are completely different, the way assets are handled and displayed as well.

just loool, memory leak will ocur only because program didnt correctly recognized avaivable memory and is trying to write/read non existing addres.

edit - to be presice, if program need xx memory to run, then if propery coded, when you try to run him it will wrote you cant run this program because your system/gk /anything lack xx size of memory/anything else.

No. Memory leak is when an application isnt cleaning up their memory allocation properly, thus keeping address space booked and not available for others, without actually using it. That reduces seemingly available memory more and more as the OS, that usually handles the memory, will not see it as a failure.

That is very different from an application moving more and more stuff into memory and not finding more free space due to bad garbage collection or by not removing unneeded allocations in a timely fashion.

I noticed that, in the images Packs, old ones are overwritten in the newer image packs. so women are replaced. Is there a special reason for this?

The reason for my question is that I would sometimes prefer the previous women.

Which is solved easily by having 2 installations: a default one and one with the image packs installed
Another solution is to take things into your own hand and rename both pictures and folders to something that isnt in use and edit your config accordingly.

i encoutered not properly coded situation in game, when talking with with one girl, she proposed threesome with her friend (which was coincidentaly my girlfriends who hates monogamy) and she refused.
and after some time when talking to another girl she propoed threesome too, and fun enough, it was my girlfriend again. and she again refused.
and when i looked at her, she was complete straight.

so there is bug in eighter in that that my (cheating) girlfriend have girlfriends despite begin straight OR it lack some "bonuses" for threesome from her good friends.

and this leads to some interesing questions . it is posible to talk with girl who will offer you threesome with another male ?
and second one, when hanging out with male friend, that you will try to catch some girl to threesome (or you/him will offer his (girl)friend) or some random girl will approach you with same offer.

and posibility for future - implement foursomes - in which you will be aproched by pair of male/female or female/female or male/mle depending if you hanging out with male or female (and on yours gender).

I believe the deciding trait/s isnt about being straight or bi but about 'casual sex', 'marriage', 'cheating on partner' traits.

You can have sex with people of the opposite gender without them being bi and even when they are gay. But threesomes (seem to) use the same mechanic, as trying to go further than a bit of flirting with someone who is in a steady relationship. They will decline to do so, if they dont have those traits listed earlier.

kitchen is listed as upgradeable, but it is imposible to upgrade it. restrooms and others rooms can be upgraded without problem.

Simply open up your Resource Monitor on Windows and run a log on it. Scenes get initialized and people in them as well. Some might get thrown away , when not used anymore and others wont, as their object is still needed , even if you dont see them in the current scene. With time the number of people grows naturally thus also the number of objects to be handled.

It could also be some kind of "undo/redo" feature native to the engine, like in Ren'py, saving the game state before every single user action. Having a history made of thousands of game states can grow to a pretty big memory usage.
