1. The opinion modifier is based for receiving the photo. Whether they respond or not is a different condition that depends on other aspects of their personality. So they may have enjoyed receiving it, but didn't feel like replying. It works the other way too. If they didn't enjoy it they get a negative modifier but they may or may not respond.

You can always delete any set you don't like before a new game. Or even for an ongoing game, but if it's used already, you have to change her (or his) picture set to a different one via the consol or save file editing.

Even if you'd really dislike the set, it would be absolutely all right - that's why we make these all unofficial sets, so everbody could gather what they like and discard what they don't like.
Can you provide more details for the first issue? In general they are not supposed to bring you home with them if they have a roommate, unless the roommate is not at home at the time. It's probably a bug due to timing I'm guessing.
The patch was posted on April 8th.
That's not quite accurate. The younger sister appears in July (although won't be able to interact with until August). The investor can show up as early as November. But in addition to those, the Old Friend story line can start right away, right after you join the cult. The problem with adding too much content early on is that then you have to do a lot of work yourself. Doing maintenance and covering for employees days off. Not to mention all the inventory management and being very active with the city commission and working out to get your endurance up. In general there's hardly any time for doing other things. That's why those other stories start later. You don't have to do those things, but it helps to get the game going faster and helps you get to the point that you have more free time.
I get bored easily and make new game a lot so i got nothig on my hand rn but i'll send you a save where i manage to recreate it , but it's usually happen with adult with their own house once enough npc have spawn they invite you to their house and theirs 1 npc just chilling in the same cell and their not even in couple and friend most of the time. and they follow you everywhere on the patio in the bedroom you can't interact with them but you get appreciation when you strip and bad opinion during the deed.
You don't even need to change it manually. Just save and exit before you delete image sets. Next time you meet that person, it'll replace the missing image set with another compatible set. (However, until you meet them, the person will temporarily show up in your contact list with a default image.)
