I downloaded mixdrop file at first and WD gave me a warning and quarantined the file, tried it again yesterday and for some reason it wasn't flagged this time. Go figure.
From all possible filehosts, you picked that one that hast a higher rate with unwanted extras. At least this is my personal experience with mixdrop. Mega and Gofile seem to be fine and fast.

What does this do? Max AI NPC to Take Action:

I have a killer machine so do I crank it just because I can, or would this increase the difficulty level?
As the game proceeds and the NPC count gets large, the simulation limits the number of NPCs that are allowed to interact with each other. Essential NPCs like club owners and your workers are always simulated, but characters off screen have a limit on how many can go out and do things. Thus, the higher you set it the more interactions the npcs will have which usually leads to higher amounts of relationships.

I can confirm it's not a virus but a fault in unity. Sometimes this game crashes,ok this game often crashes, but it can damage its own data files (need to simply delete it and extract fresh) and can muck up your graphics drivers a bit (nothing a restart wont fix) this is a fault in unity not just this game.

About this game... When does it become a strip club? Im 8 hours in and have a very respectable bar and restaurant with some singers but uhhh, thats not what I signed up for. I tried the thread but cant find a clear answer... little help?

Is there a way, either by console command or editing the save file, to remove a single character's pregnancy? I don't want to disable the feature. My sister got pregnant by a loser and I need to convince her to abort
No. It can be done, but requires editing a lot of stuff and even I wouldn't try it. It's too hard to do. Wait for the abortions to be included (maybe in the next version, if not the next one).

Someone already answered this, but yes, you can bump up that value as high as you like. However, the higher it is, the longer the AI takes to run between steps (each time you pass time). So raise until you feel it takes too long. The higher it is, the more characters that are free that will take action, so you will see more people around town. The default is like 75, so it doesn't matter for the first year or so of game time.

I downloaded mixdrop file at first and WD gave me a warning and quarantined the file, tried it again yesterday and for some reason it wasn't flagged this time. Go figure.
Yeah, that's what I have noticed too. Have no explanation for it.

It takes about a year of game time. There's a fast start option that you can turn on that reduces the time in half or so (but only applies to new games and it just puts where you currently are, so not worth starting over). Get the commissioners to like "Entertainment work" and "Revealing Clothing", so they pass the laws allowing strippers faster.

Its not the one I usually go for, I tried every link when people were making a fuss about this, got the same result. Tried to extract it again anyway because I figured if every one was giving this alert it'd make no difference and didn't get a warning. Just mentioned mix because it was the one people were mainly complaining about.

I wish I could avoid those virus warnings (or at least understood why they are happening). The other day when I downloaded the file I was also getting the warning. But today I'm not. Even though is the same file. I have no idea why it does that. If someone has any ideas on what I can do to prevent that from happening, please let me know. (This has been happening for a few updates now and I've tried 3 different zip tools with no difference).

But if you are uncomfortable opening the zip file after getting that warning, I understand.
Its not the zip its the browser that gives you that warning and is generally triggered by adverts embedded in the webpage so sometimes you will get the warning sometimes not depending on the embedded adverts downloading the zip would in some cases need you to take a leap of faith and ignore the message then scan the zip on your drive. I download everything onto a virtual drive so there is never a risk to my system. So the reason you will get a warning is due in this case to the webpage not necessarily the fileserver and the webpage will not always have the same adverts embedded in it each time thus the random nature of the occurance. That is the best explaination I can give. An online scanner will also wrongly show it as a infection due to the fact it also works within that browser. When downloaded onto a virtual drive you can measure the actual expected size and the downloaded size to see if there is varience which would indicate possible virus/malware but in this case there was none. (corrected for my lack of native English)

Yeah all this virus talk is kinda surprising to me...
I always load via Gofile or Mega, since the v2 Betas i always used the Mega Links provided by Fluke in Discord, even with 2.01 and NEVER had a problem with it...

Ok. New to the game and I love it. I’m about a year in (second sister appeared), and almost all is well.

But I’m frustrated by the childhood friend. I’ve pushed her as much as possible. I’ve seduced her using my cult abilities. I’ve gotten her to dump her husband. Her attraction to me is off the charts. But I can’t get her to accept a date or a “make a move”! It’s always “she doesn’t think it’s appropriate“.

is this some special tag she has? If so, can anyone help? (I can drop a patch in, but I can’t seem to access a cheat screen in-game).

edit: reading another post I guess I need to talk to her about her marriage at one of the lunches she schedules? Or perhaps when I see her in public?

Not trying to drag the conversation out, but this is incorrect. I had zero issues in the browser. The only warnings I got were after the file was already on my system. To date, this is the only zip file (from anywhere in my long history of internetting) that has acted this way for me once it has been downloaded.

As for people blaming choice of file host... I only download from Gofile, Pixeldrain and Mega if I can help it and this happened to me on files from Pixel and Gofile.

I'll try through the dev's discord, though. I'm truly interested in this game.

Edit - File from the dev's discord (mega) gave no issues. and scans came up clean. :)

The name is something of a misnomer. It would more accurately called "Struggling Bar Sliding into Bankruptcy." From what I've seen in over a year of game time, you'll never actually be able to make it a strip club.

I asked her to be my girlfriend, but she showed me her younger sister's face and didn't really tell me why. What should I do?

Quick question, is it normal that you can only talk to NPCs ?
Flirting is now gone or do I need to read more skill books or something ?

Edit : It seems tied with the tutorial having bugged on my first save file, off to restart it all, if it crashes or does not go to the last panel of explanation after picking your sister's picture, it will lead the game to not present you with any other option.

The re-edit : the game seems to be busted at times, some tutorials straight up remove the ability to do anything but talk to other characters, I just don't get it.
Did another run with another character, everything was fine until I hit the Commissioner tutorial and then back to only talking.

This is exactly right. The "fast start" actually turns out to be a bit of a hard mode too without cheating. The design choices in this are so amazingly flawed and the coding mechanics effectively makes it a time bomb so by the time your year long intro bar time (irl usually 10 hours without cheating) is over your in a crashtastic state no matter the strength of your PC due to the unnecessary drag.

And the cherry on top: the use of an info save system ensures that when the game implodes from its own weight your saves are forever scuffed unless you know how to edit because it saves the damage to the data. Simply brilliant if this was meant as a psychological experiment or elaborate prank. As a game its just fun enough to keep you going "ok a few more turns and it'll be strip club sim....or a few more after..."

I've been playing the game since the very first release but I'm always struggling to try to turn a profit. I always eventually death spiral to a point where I have so much debt that I can't hire people to replace those that eventually quit. Does anybody have any tips that helped them turn that corner and start turning a profit?

I am guessing you did not understand or did not read the post properly I at no point said it was the host re-read it. If you downloaded it correct me if I am wrong you downloaded it though a web page. Thus assuming you did have an infection which I can not verify it would carry that infection to your hard drive (either from the host or the webpage/adverts them selves). Scanning with something like (only for example) Bitdefender will give you a warning or not relying on something like windows defender would be pointless. I am trying to help people by saying yes virus/malware exists in files in some cases due to embedded ads which are changable thus sometimes one day they are fine other days they are not depending on the ad that day. Mega will scan the file itself before downloading it with its app therfore would be the exception as it would measure the expected size and the downloadable size. Just like you I have used the internet for a long time in fact I pre date the internet when I sysoped it and I own 3 internet security companies. I generally dont get involved in these discussions on this forum as in the past I have had very poor unprofessional responses from the sites staff so I leave it to them

The host portion was not in response to you, which is why I prefaced it with "as for people blaming choice of file host" and started a new paragraph. Two different responses to two different topics.

And you are correct, I misunderstood the post of yours that I replied to. Consequence of reading and replying at half-past midnight.

I've not had a single memory-based crash since the launch of v2 whereas I would have to constantly check RAM usage with v1.

Unless you're running a jacket potato, there's minimal risk of crashing.
