I've been playing the game since the very first release but I'm always struggling to try to turn a profit. I always eventually death spiral to a point where I have so much debt that I can't hire people to replace those that eventually quit. Does anybody have any tips that helped them turn that corner and start turning a profit?
~ Build a kitchen as soon as possible as it's another revenue stream.
~ Focus on lewdness for your first non-sibling bartender. Scout the University / Library for young, cheap staff who you can train and may later become good managers / strippers.
~ Set your employee policy to never allow breaks. Discover your staff's happiness and give them orgasms if it starts dipping.
~ Once the kitchen is complete, build a dressing room and main seating area ASAP. Do not stress if this puts you in debt as it's quite manageable. Not doing anything because you don't want to use leverage is the real death spiral.
~ Purchase only the lowest quality food and alcohol.
~ Set your meal cost to $20.
~ Build an entrance ASAP as it's another revenue stream.
~ Do not build any extra locker rooms or expand any other rooms until you have unlocked all revenue streams and have staff manning them. This is when you're likely to start turning a profit, regardless of whether you have 'entertainment' available.
~ You're likely to have a young bimbo with ridiculous Lewdness constantly approaching you to apply sunscreen etc. Make her your first 'entertainer'.
~ As you hire staff and increase the overall lewdness, your Fame will increase. Each time you reach a multiple of 100 Fame that you haven't achieved before, increase the costs of your products / services. Increase meals by $2 and increase drinks / cover charge by $1.
~ Until you have backup staff in all areas, stay closed on Sunday. Only broaden the hours of operation on Friday / Saturday to capture as much peak traffic as possible.
