Christ, the AI animations are fucking atrocious. They don't loop, they're not consistent, they're morphing throughout the same video, they're jumpy, they look nothing like the images of the girls, the physics are completely fucked. They just suck, bad, I can't believe that anyone actually watched them afterwards and went "Yep - looks great, let's push that out in the next update."

Hopefully TBI is open to feedback for this type of thing. Not to be harsh in criticism, but I think the dev either should stop using AI to animate altogether, or should make sure it looks a lot cleaner. For some stupid reason, AI tends to generate the most dopey-looking faces imaginable, like a "goofy" filter were turned to its maximum setting. Also, not only do animations not loop like you mentioned, but they actually do something slightly worse: they play forward a few seconds and then reverse through the same frames to the beginning again. That makes them much less realistic and even silly looking.

There are some other aspects that are much easier to fix but still are just weird. It seems clear the developer's first language isn't English. Usually it's fine, but there are some places with odd phrasing — e.g., "Let's cheers to that"... is not a thing; cheers isn't a verb and can't be used this way. A native English speaker would immediately know; it just sounds wrong.

Also, in English-speaking countries at least, you don't generally call someone Mr., Ms., Mrs., etc., and then use their first name. It's "Mr. LastName" and sounds incredibly strange to hear "Mr. John", "Ms. Vinna", or whatever — even from employees. From servants that might happen, but I still have never liked it. (Maybe it's because that's something that was used heavily in the antebellum American South among slaves, and so it comes off much more degrading or something? I'm not sure.) I'd much prefer either using sir or ma'am or else first names with nothing else.

Yep, I forgot to add that to the list, but it's one of the worst aspects of it. They violate physics - cause and effect in a way that completely takes you (or at least me) out of it. Tits do not bounce in reverse.

I don't know what the characters are supposed to be doing with their mouths in half of them either, they look like they're chewing.

I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the looks characters now have in still images, but I can at least ignore that. With the animations, however - they completely kill any and all immersion to the point where instead of adding, they actively detract from the VN. I thought about my post the next day, and was considering deleting it because I know it's pretty harsh. I went and read over it again, though, and just couldn't bring myself to hit the delete button - they really are that bad.

I’m sorry you feel that way, but the story is built on certain premises. One is that the Mc works at a financial institution. The fact that the Mc is a male would be another “forced choice.” Another is that he moves in with Anna’s family. His engagement to Anna is not optional, in the same way him being straight is not optional. It is a necessity of the story. Yet another is that he will have more than one partner. Each of these are there for a reason, perhaps some have more justification than others, a fair point, but that is the case with all stories and games. We don’t have character customization, does denying the “choice” of being male or female mean it is not a true story? Or does it simply mean that the story being told doesn’t have or require that to be a choice?

I will again point out that you do have choices for about half the girls. Not everything is unavoidable. You say we failed in making all the girls introduced so far likable, I would ask in what way? Which girl didn’t you like? Maybe she is avoidable. Or perhaps I could have helped to alleviate your concerns by giving context as to why she isn’t avoidable. However it seems you have arbitrarily decided that because some girls are fixed that you will reject the whole story out of hand, regardless of if it is even an issue (since perhaps you would like all the unavoidable girls). Though, in fact I’m not convinced, based on your other comments, that you even played the game. Or maybe you did get a few scenes in, if that.

Finally I find it rather offensive that you call it “sick” that you don’t have full control over every relationship. I think it is borderline, if not outright, kink shaming of the harem fetish. Saying “harem games MUST have a monogamy path or it is just sick,” is poor form. I always welcome discussion and even criticism, but any more kink shaming because the game is an unashamed harem story will not be ignored.
it's downright not a harem if the head of the harem has no choice in who is in it

If you look into harems throughout history you'll probably see many where the head didn't
have a choice. Arranged marriages, unions for political power, and many other reasons. A
lot of harems weren't just assembled because the guy was horny for all the women.

I'm not sure incest was ever big in harems though...??...

Anywho....Cheers and have a good one!
