How is the situation with the whole lesbian poll stuff? I went through the first pages of the comment section and I immediately downloaded the game when I saw the dev saying that there would be no lesbian content at all. That was honestly a breath of fresh air with so many harem (polyamorous) games lately, so I didn't even hesitate. But, while the game was downloading, I thought "ok, let's go through the comments anyway, sometimes they go back on their words for some reason". And, surely enough, I stumble upon some of the most recent logs from the dev saying that there will be a poll whether or not to include lesbian content. Yes, just in threesomes, and yes, avoidable/optional, which isn't the worst, but... seriously, again?
I'm honestly tired that the reason they want to do it is for variety's sake. Where's the variety if every single harem game in existence has to end up with some lesbian action? So what, should every single game have every tag in existence for variety's sake? And even more funny that the girls are still supposed to be straight... then why are they fooling around in the first place? Because the MC asks them to? Have they no agency? Imagine being a threesome with a guy friend, the two of you completely straight, but just for "variety's sake" you say "fuck it, might as well suck him and let him fondle my balls while we're at it."

To each their own, devs are free to do as they please with their games, and we're not here to make them change stuff. We're entitled to our own opinions, but we shouldn't push nor persuade anyone into doing anything to cater our tastes. But to see that what was once promised is now being considered to change, is definitely not a good look in my book.

Well given it takes the dev ages to even release a normal update, adding optional lez that nobody asked for was certainly not a smart move... but then again no smart person would consider being an AVN dev to begin with.

But that's time that you could be saving yourself in order to polish what you've already done, to release the update a bit sooner, or to add content that the people who've been already playing, enjoying and supporting your game really want. Yeah, the "oh it's only a few extra days/hours/etc argument" is something I've heard before, but it's cope, and the point still applies, when you combine the extra time across multiple updates it will make a difference.

The going back on what's promised is definitely my biggest pet peeve in this space, it's such a disrespect to their paying customers and fans of their work. Usually it's for the reason in your example, where one or two "whales" gets off on bending devs to their kinks or just wants to ruin it for others as a troll, but I've also seen multiple cases where it is the dev himself wanting to bait and switch because they love the kink. This usually applies more to towards ntr, but it can be for any tag.

Anyway, I'm not up-to-date on this one, but it's really a shame, the LIs look great, and I'm not against lesbianism in general, but like you said, why does it need to be everywhere.

harem games without lesbian is rare man.. Like I thought this one was going to be one of those without it.. optional or not, idc. Dev said it would not be none, then decided to make a poll? that sucks man. Lesbian content is so fucking over saturated. Every girl has be be bi, or some shit in these harem games. This was a fresh of clean air when the dev said it will be no lesbian content and the girls are straight...

But now? that's thrown out the window. Now if the poll wins or winning he going have to spend more time on creating alternative scenes for this lesbian and no lesbian content.. And it's not like this dev bring out quicker outdates... (he don't) so this makes it worst.

I don't mean to engage in every single lesbian discussion because it might give the impression that I'm against this type of content which is absolutely not the case. I won't bring up other games because it isn't relevant to this game, but there are those with lesbian relationships/situationships or even lesbian-centered that I adore and love. Most of those though, are usually from a female protagonist perspective, which surprinsingly (or not) treats this theme which much more respect and care.
However, the inclusion of lesbian content in harem games is starting to get disproportionate. I mean, I've played/tried what, 30 harem games? And maybe two/three of them don't have (at least so far) lesbian content included/planned. That's a ridiculous balance. Sure, yeah, in some of these games you have a toggle to disable it or not, or you have a single choice in-game to decide whether to have that type of content or not. However, many of these games, especially in their final stretch, start to include a bunch of said content which, if you decide to avoid, you'll of course miss, so you'll have a half-baked resolution to your harem, because the intended way seems to always revolve around having your LIs fooling around in the end, as if it's always an inevitability.
The issue with most lesbian stuff in harem games is that it's usually treated as a pure fetish, on the assumption that every single guy in existence will always find it hot. And yes, many might, but context matters a lot. You might enjoy lesbian scenes purely on a porn aesthetic, but in AVNs, no matter how much people claim that these are just "pixels" or porn games, you get attached to the characters, so watching them doing stuff, especially without you, might sometimes be uncomfortable for the player.
Again, yes, it's cool if said content is optional/avoidable (not skippable), that should be almost always the way to go, without forcing you to go through content you might not enjoy and of course not forcing you to engage in it to get involved with certain LIs. That's also a common practice, some devs tell you that it's optional, but if you don't partake in lesbian content, you'll miss LIs, so in the end you won't get a full harem, which is basically what most harem players want.
The main issue in this game relies on the fact that it was stated and specified many times that said content wouldn't even be a part of it, so why bring it up again after years of development? Was it a false promise? Was it an attempt of trying to appeal to a certain crowd only to lie to them in the end? Because I prefer devs to be upfront about their content, even if it's not my cup of tea. You then might decide if you want to try their game or not, but at least they're fully honest, and that's always a plus.

The thing about Lesbian/Bi content i don't mind a little lesbian action in my PORN during threesomes. But during my AVN i do not. I can't help it i self incert my self in the story and i become the MC and i don't want anybody pleasuring my women except me. Reason i don't mind lesbian stuff in my porn is because there's no story in porn there is no MC in porn there is nobody to get attached to. And like Superocco says the balances between Lesbian AVN's and Non Lesbian/Bi AVN's is really off.
