Take missions with exp (not just money) reward, use books (in dorm 'items' menu; you can get them from missions and black market). Make strong strumpets bodyguards and fight police instead of run.

I was sending strumpets on missions but I guess most of them didn't have xp rewards. Didn't even know about the other ones. When I have strumpets as bodyguards or fight police what skills will level up?

Also will doing jobs (like nursing) raise the nursing skill?

With time mission list will expand. Fighting obviously gives combat exp (look at bodyguards leveling up).

Doing jobs at home don't increasing skills (nursing, cooking) - so it's only items and missions. And i don't figured out how to make nurse work - recovery speed is low (with strength 244/252 it shows 3 days of recovery, $300 for cleric; but nursing skill is 0).

BTW, assign all jobless as strippers for getting additional money.

interesing game, but it have some bugs, like cliping of one model over another when i use swfplayer (is other program recomended?).
and pls add option to completly shut down sounds - currently on music you shut down part of music, that reapatinh violin? with ups and downs is imposibe to shut down.
