There is an organized effort to actively and constantly destroy StudioFOW and this effort has it's "headquarters" in the /aco/ board of 4chan. I know this to be a fact because i saw it first hand when i bothered with that shithole. This propaganda effort was concocted by that Ardvark and Onagi guys and their pet drones. I don't know if they still actively take part in it or if it's taken a life of it's own. The shit storm you see in any thread regarding them is not organic and comes directly from there.

StudioFOW is not what it once was, but what it once was, was a group that produced the best on model video game animated porn to date and in ACTUAL MOVIE format. No one has even remotely touched what they made in their prime and i don't see it ever happening since everyone else are just concerned with scamming. Either branching into WEG scams or continuing the "8 second loop with fuck all context you watch once and forget about immediately. See you in 2 months" shit.

This game of theirs is a disappointment. It's an actual game that they are actually working on but the porn is not good so i don't care. I never cared because it was OC characters. I didn't give them money nor do i see their behavior in the process of developing it check the usual scam red flags so i simply don't care about it and moved on.

Being a massive Ninja Gaiden fan, after they gave me the Kunoichi series and it's spinoffs, FOW would have to do some seriously questionable things for me to have an iota of the vitriol i see here and in that shithole for them. Especially since they gave them to me for free, i didn't have to come here to download it.

Two things:
First, you are wrong about "no one doing the same thing as FOW", there is at least Perfectdeadbeat. Although lately he's been making the same mistake late FOW did, namely focusing too much on the story (aka fanfiction) part of his movie, instead of fucking.

Second, you have to be straight up delusional to believe that all, or even most, of the negativity towards FOW is a result of some kind of 4chan conspiracy or any such dumb shit. You said it yourself, the game is a massive disappointment, mainly because FOW pretty much tripled and quadrupled down on the flaws that were popping up in their latest movies - too much focus on the "story", but it is even worse for Subverse because sex scenes are just THAT much of a letdown.
I'm sure Darkcrow (or whatever the fuck his name is) being an absolutely insufferable fa... bundle of sticks whenever he opened his mouth online didn't won FOW any favors either.

Perfectdeadbeat is a scammer who made 2 inferior movies that together don't even come to the length of one of FOWs and in all this time. He's as much "doing the same thing" as that 26region or whatever his name is (actually way worse cause at least that guy made a lot more content).

Second, don't talk to me about shit you know fuck all or pretend to know fuck all about. This all started when they were in their prime, making Kunoichi 2. The current game is just a convenient excuse because now that FOW actually fucked up it's time to pretend all that poison was always validated. It's impossible to know what the actual general opinion of the game even is because the well is pure poison now. Don't come in here telling me what i saw with my own eyes for years is some "lul conspiracy" using the exact same inanity talking points i saw. Conspiracies is all 4chan has been good for since 2012. All you needed was a schizo and a VPN and you could monopolize whole topics and opinions and once Discord was created it was game over for that website because there were organized groups of schizos doing it 24/7.

Far be it from me to defend PDB, I took a snipe at him for focusing too much on irrelevant shit in his thread on here recently, but... can you count? Longest FOW movie, that isn't bloated by shitty fanfiction "plot" is Kunoichi 3, at 38 something minutes, PDB's current movie is 35 minutes and still not finished.

I'm not even disputing that there was some kind of coordinated attempt to throw shit at FOW back in the day. well said ! FOW started very strong but with many projects started and put on ice or left in the rain they split the fanbase. I remember the fact that many said what you say about Darkcrow. Now they try to be again relevant but without a new movie or clip. They now post old stuff from thier vault : Mai ,Tina etc ( projects who ,,dont have ,, w.i.ps )

But the conspiracy and raging over what they chose to do with their lives is dumb. Also PDB can do what he likes, that’s the artists prerogative. If there half as much plot as smut, it doesn’t matter, if it was 90/10 in story and smut, it doesn’t matter, it’s what he wants to do. You ever consider some artists want to do more than just loops and some camera angle changes?

Be mindful, gain some perspective, and don’t be a dick. It’s not that hard.

Ya’ll weren’t discussing, you were just trading barbs at that point.

In any case, FOW’s nearly done with their game project. They’ve got a spot in a streaming event called HentaiExpo in May, presumably to show the game off more and maybe announce its completion day, but hopefully they’ll also have the time to address what they’re doing after (not everyone’s really aware of the crowdfunding, since they couldn’t show it in the anniversary video)
