Next to StudioHearts.exe, there need to be directories called "game", "lib" and "renpy". If you have none of these things, then theoretically you could have a self-extracting ZIP file, but if it isn't self-extracting when you run it, then that's not it. I think there is a relatively large probability that some ad on the download site tricked you into downloading a malicious file instead of the correct one.

I think i must've misunderstood when i read directories, i do have those 3. I just dont have a log or anything that might give me insight as to why it wont run. Also do you know what i need to input on the CMD or PowerShell to see if it runs that way?
You need to be in the correct directory. If you are lucky, you can right click in that directory and use an option "Open shell here" or similar. (Not sure; it's many years since Microsoft made my last Windows computer unbootable with an update and I just stopped using it.) In any case, you just need to be 'in' the correct directory. And then enter StudioHearts.exe, or just StudioHearts (same effect), as the command.

I am very sad about losing Stormside, but I'm really enjoying this game anyway. Atemsiel knows how to make games and he knows how to write dialogue.
I'm not sure if he ever lurks these threads, but I have one easy suggestion for improving the immersion. Mila is a relatively poor girl in a relatively poor Russian speaking country, but her English ability is as good as someone who grew up as a middle class native English speaker in the UK. There are some obvious grammar issues that Russians tend to have when they speak English, and Mila would be more believable if she had them.
Most obviously, Russians often have trouble with prepositions, verb tenses, word order, gendering too many nouns, and using articles like "the" or "a" or "an." Russian is structured differently and doesn't use articles. So you hear things like "I graduate college at 2024." "It will be cost about 500 dollars." "It is popular tv show that my friend recommended me." "I love to cooking." "She is same age like me."
English is a difficult language, and I'm amazed people around the world learn it as well as they do. Still, a native Russian speaker who has never left Kharzovya is not going to sound like a suburban American or Brit.

Doesn't it add absurd time to rendering? Especially if you don't want it to look awful. Like it's one of the things that adds the most additional time to renders afaikOh no, the MC got manscaped

easy enough with the characters being hs2 and a good pc, and also this game being a borefest KN

I'm sad Stormside had to die for this but I will admit this has been pretty damn good so far
The fact this update basically doubles the render count in less than 6 months AND has a bunch of animations, is really impressive
Hoping he actually sticks with this one though, feels like it has lots of possibility to grow, just hope he doesn't spread himself too thin like he did with Stormside
Should keep the amount of LIs pretty small and just increase tension some other way (like a run-in with Mila's old studio, Aida's ex, maybe a mafia extortion thing, who knows)
Either way: Idk if Atemsiel reads any of these but I just wanna say "good game, excellent update, keep up the good work"
