STWA work is always baffling when it comes to quality writing and this one sure shows how much he keeps growing.

Amazing content for a first release mate !

Oh and the use of the variables seem pretty unique if you can pull it off, I like it.

If you think he's young, after everything he's been through... I dunno. He has done and seen more shit in his 'young' life than most. He's lived his life... time to settle down.
lol

yes but a lot of that was spent in army.

That's still living a life, and ages someone even more. As STWAdev said, if you want to be the manwhore, you can go on like that. Personally, I will be playing this to settle down. But to each their own. I still think he is definitely not a young man any more.

you know in my opinion getting married and having children with the person you love is the truest form of living in my opinion

being a man Whore going from woman to woman with no love. Just sex is a sad and lonely existence it is not living

So what's the best answer here?

This probably has been asked before and I reckon it relates to the previous game(s?), which I obviously didn't play.

And does the girl you choose become unavailable?

There is no best answer whoever you chose becomes the "canon" love interest for the MC of that game. None of the girls from previous games are going to be avaliable for anyone but the MC's of the games they are from. Though I have to say you should check out the previous game it's really good, is complete and not that long.

I can only agree with that, casual sex without feelings feels wrong to me. Between the steady relationships in my life, I also had sex with various women, but the day after it always had a bitter and lonely aftertaste. I've also never had the desire to have sex with other women during a relationship and I'm not saying that now because my wife is looking over my shoulder. Either 100% in a relationship or not at all, probably my only black or white attitude in my life.

For this reason, I also like non-harem games best. Through the experience with The Author, I just assume that it is the same with Unbroken and that is one of the reasons why I already like it so much. It doesn't matter that players can also have an option for the manwhore path as long as one isn't forced to do so.

There's no best answer. Those are (except one) the LI's from the previous game.
The one you choose appears as a cameo with the previous game's MC (Brent).
No idea if they're going to be reoccurring appearences but I highly doubt it.

They are not LI's and won't be. If you want to fuck them you have to play The Author.

Essentially agree with everything you said, though my wife isn't looking over my shoulder right now. :ROFLMAO:

The fact that the MC is a man whore at the beginning is why I turned down everyone/didn't flirt. They all know he is a slut, that all he does is slut it up. I want the MC to take a step back and reevaluate himself and grow in maturity, you don't do that by slutting it up with your friends, colleagues, mentees. It would make sense for the MC to have a one night stand and realize he wants more than that, perhaps that's what did happen before the game began. Regardless I didn't want him to jump at the first offering. To me the MC has a lot to figure out and I hope that my turning anyone down in the beginning doesn't mean that the MC winds up alone.

Have you considered that getting together with one of these ladies is just what the MC needs to get himself centered?

As for ending up alone, if you turned everyone down in the previous game, that MC does wind up with someone anyway. So your method might work for you here.

I still think you look too hard to find excuses to avoid these ladies. It's a porn game, for Pete's sake! Most of us love it that the story, plot, and characterizations draw us in, but in the end it's still a porn game.

technically you are right it is a porn game however you forgetting different people like to play in different ways and some of us like to immerse ourselves in the story and imagine ourselves as the mc

like me for example when I play games like Summer's Gone and the DeLuca family I actually become the mc in my head

it doesn't matter if it's a book movie or game if it can take your mind into a different world then. you know it something special

Not really because it is too early in the game to really decide that any of these women are the "one" who will "fix" the MC (in a non-neutering way hopefully).

It's not like his life and his relationships with all of these people started just when we began to play this game. One of the biggest issues with any game which has established relationships is the fact that everything is static until we assume control of the character. So the MC has never had any type of sexual or romantic relationship with any of these women that he knows and keeps in contact with currently? He never had a drunken night of sex with any of them and yet now is the time where he will change that way of thinking and suddenly decide to take his relationship with one or all of them to the next level? It's the weakness of these games, especially when they have a good story.

Honestly IMO right now, the MC must be a somewhat shitty person if not a single one of the women who've walked through his revolving bedroom door has maintained any contact with him.

As for ending up alone, if you turned everyone down in the previous game, that MC does wind up with someone anyway. So your method might work for you here.
And I didn't actually turn down everyone I just didn't finish the game because my interest kind of petered out. I was on a Lyndie path and I also had a Chris path, I think I might have even had a Drusilla path. But in the end after the stuff with Kim was resolved I wasn't as invested as I'd been and stopped.

It's not just a porn game, that does a huge disservice to developers like STWAdev and others who try to craft a compelling story that includes sex. A porn game is just a framework to showcase porn, whereas this game and a few others I follow are about the characters, their story, their relationships, and their having sex.

True, in a way. I think some people just want to fap and make choices for more fapping, whereas others want to be told a story, make choices that influence the story, and maybe see some sexual content. If I wanted to just look at porn there are thousands of sites and millions of files that I can access. My "ardor" for this site and these games is because they remind me of choose your own adventures and the relationships that Bioware included in their games...

Let's hope McNab has mastered the art of grilling.
LMAO... I actually stopped playing that game for a number of reasons.

I know I've often overstated my reluctance to choose someone because of drama or lack of interest in a character, in this game I need to know the love interests better before I am definitive about who the MC should or shouldn't be with. There is a reluctance due to their history but I also find many of the women intriguing. That said if the MC fucks it up I have no problem with him joining a trappist monastery and learning to brew beer. ;)

... it will be because of your choices. :p
Not really, we don't get to choose the dialogue to that extent. If the dumbass puts his foot in his mouth during a conversation where we don't have any control over the words he uses then he's the one who did it. We only have so much control, STWAdev can only give us so much control. In addition since we usually don't know the results of a choice until later we could make a choice only to find out it was the wrong one.

For example when the MC had a choice between being affectionate or professional I chose to be professional. In my life I try to maintain a professional demeanor with the family and friends I work with/for when "on the clock". When Amrit continued to drop her hands to her waist, something that can get you killed in certain circumstances, I gave her a stern lecture. Since I don't use walkthrough mods in my first playthrough (or ever) I didn't know that gave McNab a +1 Rival stat (only saw that because of the conversation about Joker's mod). I don't know if that is good or bad, I don't know if because I was professional and stern whether the MC's chances at a relationship with Amrit are now over because he won't have enough points.

Anyway, my point is we make the choices we do based on the limited information we are provided in life and in games. Unfortunately in games we get even less information when we make those decisions for the characters.

But do you really think that the developer is going to keep the MC as a dumbass throughout the game? I seriously doubt that is his intent. So, IF there is a pathway to the MC remaining a dumbass, which may not even exist, YOU will have to choose it.

As for not knowing how choices will affect the outcome of this game, that is the conundrum we face with most games, especially the goods ones. But that's why saves were invented. [Or you could wait till the game is completed and read the script to get the outcome you want.]
