sad but true. followed with save asking.Hell, the barely read those. Virtually every post on a new release is questions that are answered in the first post.

I've only been enjoying the F95 Community for a couple years myself, but in the dozens of AVNs and Other games I've followed/played I've never heard of a Dev pausing billing because they took longer to update than they promised. On the previous thread page, you can read the latest Patreon update and find out they paused billing due to the update taking longer than anticipated.

You're right, it's not common but it does happen. Two of my pledges are currently paused because of a lack of content.I've only been enjoying the F95 Community for a couple years myself, but in the dozens of AVNs and Other games I've followed/played I've never heard of a Dev pausing billing because they took longer to update than they promised.
Though, I think most Devs would never Promise anything, it's typivally "you get what you get, when you get it!"
STWAdev, if I was wearing a hat it would be coming off in your general direction. I can't say you've redeemed my faith in all humanitybut this definitely moves the needle.
Uhmm... would you mind sharing which games those are? You're right, it's not common but it does happen. Two of my pledges are currently paused because of a lack of content.
I think I get what you're saying. But for what it's worth, in this case I think the Dev deserves consideration.Doesn't mean we shouldn't support the devs though. Just a value proposition at the end of the day deal when you expect content for subbing for half a year. Doesn't mean I don't think this visual novel is a banger though. STWA is a good game. Just felt like the renders weren't worth my subscription after 6 months of no game update.
There's also a lot of work associated with adapting and submitting a game for Steam. It has it's own APIs, and review process.I think I get what you're saying. But for what it's worth, in this case I think the Dev deserves consideration.
Imagine writing/creating a story, and all the time/effort that entails. The good ones don't publish until they're satisfied, or I should say as satisfied as humanly possible. Sharing a story you created is intimidating enough, wanting it to be as close to perfect as possible so others will love it like you do... Six months may seem long to us, but I think for a good Dev it feels even longer.
Besides, there are Devs who take a year or more per update. All the while happily taking a shit ton of money and only releasing scraps to keep the money coming. I'll take honest authors like STWAdev and quietly suffer through the update process... hoping I live long enough to see their story complete.
True enough, but I'm gonna stick with my romanticized Author struggling with his story... schtik. I happier waiting if I think it's for creative reasons. Jumping STEAM hurdles is likely to make me less patient. There's also a lot of work associated with adapting and submitting a game for Steam. It has it's own APIs, and review process.
Some of my favorite games have dev posts that talk about that artistic struggle, how close they've come to walking away due to outside life fucking with them, or writers block, etc.. It both makes me appreciate these games more, and sad at the same time.True enough, but I'm gonna stick with my romanticized Author struggling with his story... schtik. Though we should clarify, not all who talk like that are being honest. Some of my favorite games have dev posts that talk about that artistic struggle, how close they've come to walking away due to outside life fucking with them, or writers block, etc.. Gushing is fine, this is the appropriate place for it. I think your first line is bullshit, but the rest is golden.Though we should clarify, not all who talk like that are being honest.
STWADev seems honest. And their work is amazing, Unbroken is easily in my top 3 favorite AVNs. Story is excellent and feels like the author either relates or did some research (which most don't, getting details wrong in big ways always ruins the experience for me). The visuals are beautiful, truly. Only a bare handful look as good.
The only thing I kinda struggle with is the total lack of sound. It's jarring. I mean even a few of the free-to-use soundtracks would greatly improve the experience. I get that there's probably a reason for it, but that's just my take.
Nothing better than a game that makes you actually feel invested in the characters.
I love the Elsbeth character, for instance. I don't care for the model personally, not my type, but the character more than makes up for not being as physically attractive to me. I want to know her story and to see her succeed. And Amrit & Kana are great, all around. Vi is ok, don't get me wrong, but I kinda feel like I already know all there is to know. Though kudos to the name Viridiana, I've never heard that one and that's a rarity. And Ines is beautiful, though I kinda hope there's more to her story.
Sorry, took the opportunity to gush, I hate gushing.
lol, there are a couple devs that I would bet my last dollar are milking. I'm not being hyperbolic. If I thought it was appropriate I'd point you at them so you could decide for yourself. And I do assume what I am told or what I read is the truth. I barely look at the trash talking posts, I wrote that line mostly for contrast before saying gushy things about SWTADev.Gushing is fine, this is the appropriate place for it. I think your first line is bullshit, but the rest is golden.
You're believing pirate gooners that complain about milking, but know nothing about game development, or care about personal struggles that life throws at people, and just want their updates that they generally steal for free on this site. Don't be that guy.
Always assume what devs say about their personal lives are true, especially if they bother sharing it, as most won't reveal that kind of personal information. Most people would never discuss losing a family member or getting divorced or having health struggles with absolute strangers. It is hard to go through that and still communicate at all. Trash talking people going through that only makes it worse. Yeah a few pricks might lie like that, but still, if you're wrong it causes more pain. Why bother even doing that?
Only shit-talk if you know first-hand that it's fake, not by hearsay, either. Be a better gooner.![]()
So innocent, so corruptible, so much fun to be had with.Going through my images today and I found this one. I have to say I think Ines one of the most beautiful girls in all the AVNs I read.

might take month or longer.I keep hoping this will be updated the next time I log in lol. I might break down and re DL this version to play through again while waiting but I always think "maybe if I give it another week..."
