42 GB now huh. I can't see me ever playing this game if the file size keeps bloating like this.
I mean who needs to play it? You don't even get to look around in 3D in game so you're just as well off watching the videos. The interactions are cringey and fun as hell but that's not worth me playing the thing let alone spending money and HDD space for it

It’s reference to Hentai Kamen

It’ll have achievements when it’s complete. Don’t think I’ve heard of an in development game with achievements

Lots of false assumptions and really skewed definitions of what constitutes cheating and NTR. Also people that weren’t expecting an actual game to play to earn the smut.
Wait... There are people on this erotic GAME forum that don't want to play games to see the erotic content in them? Is that real? Maybe that's why all those VN's get such a high rating, that's a really weird expectation to have, tho...

New Features

NEW WAIFU – HUNTRESS
Face off with the #1 ranked bounty hunter in the galaxy and she just might be persuaded to join your cause - provided you are victorious!

NEW HUNTRESS NSFW SCENES
The Huntress update comes with 22 new Pandora scenes for the sexy cephalopod! She is also available in Gallery mode!

NEW MANTICS - FUCKENSTEIN
The big fella is finally here! Research and develop this brutish tank at your own peril!

NEW SIDEQUEST
A new sidequest has been added to the game in the form of a catalyst mission for Fuckenstein

NEW ONBOARD DIALOGUES
All your crewmates have new dialogue onboard the ship to reflect the latest exciting developments!

Tweaks and Improvements
  • Removed the DEVA skills icon from the characters panel.
  • Requirements for DEVA now display on the DEVA tutorial hint box when playing Grid Combat.
  • Locker room UI now hides unrecruited units name and description.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed issue where text could cover skills descriptions when viewing the details panel from the character selection screen.
  • Fixed issue where Huntress could counterattack infinitely causing a soft lock.
  • Fixed issue where a random point light could be seen near characters on map in Grid Combat.
  • Fixed issue where incorrect icon was visible when visiting the anomaly Traxus in the Griffin System in Navigation.
  • Fixed issue with Space Combat random scenario Deep Space Leviathan where 1 small ship spawned during one of the waves.
  • Fixed issue with Space Combat random scenario Madame Isilda where there was a longer than usual delay before combat started.
  • Fixed visual bug where it was possible to see an equipable Claws when viewing DEMI’s profile in the Locker Room when onboard the Mary Celeste.
  • Fixed issue where Taron’s space helmet audio filter was not present on some lines during Taron’s main quest mission.

Known Issues (Does not include all issues)
  • Clipping issues during dialogue sections for some newly introduced characters in Fortune’s release.
  • Some characters' animation pose transitions are not in place yet during dialogue sections for Fortune’s release.
  • If multiple enemies are stunned, when it is their turn, the arrow above their head still renders even after their turn has passed in Grid Combat.
  • Visual bug, when a mantic reaches max level of 40 a white icon will appear the first time you enter the lab, as if there were more levels but goes away after selecting another mantic.
  • Mission log filter inconsistency if you filter out finished missions, then filter out on Nebula’s, the filtered Finished missions will be in the list again.
  • Waifus active, passive and ultimate icons do not always render in the same order from Locker room to selection screen.
  • Visual bug, unlockable abilities/passives not showing up or showing as locked in the Laboratory or Selection screen after the character has reached required level (some known characters Napholeon & Chodestool passed level 30).
  • Character upgrades based on level are not fully implemented for all characters.
  • Imperium’s Shocktrooper Purify status remains on character after Shocktrooper is killed.
  • Visual bug, if a unit has shield and armor and receives damage while the preview damage animation is happening on the health bars, there’s a chance it will show shield or armor remaining on the bar when there is not after the attack (In most cases remaining shield but in the character info it will show zero shield as intended).
  • Alt-Tabbing potentially can cause the game to crash, especially during areas of the game where high loads take place.
  • Report stating Rekall's passive can cause a softlock if an enemy counters with low health and dies from Rekall’s passive.
  • Low texture resolution rendering for some users during dialogue sequences throughout the game.
  • Some users reported odd textures when loading Ela and Taron in PANDORA and Gallery.
  • Framerate drop can cause Mary Celeste to shoot out of the jump-gate in Navigation.
  • Bridge projector fails to update the color scheme throughout Mary Celeste consistently. This will be fixed in later builds once all nebulae are unlocked.
  • Physics on dangling pieces such as tentacles or hair (i.e. Huntress or Killi) may clip through the character's body or rapidly vibrate during dialog sequences.
  • Yellow/White screen flashing artifact during space combat when using the FXAA aliasing method. Most likely due to the lens flare and or high bloom values.
  • On rare occasions, an unintentional song plays during some areas of the game.
  • On rare occasions, clicking the ‘Help’ button in the dialogue section of the game can remove the help text but can't be re-enabled until restarting or starting a new scene.
  • Potential stuttering when playing back cinematics for some systems. Note there is an option to disable 4k videos from the graphics tab under settings. This has improved performance for some users.
  • Reports of performance issues on some Space Combat random scenario maps.
  • Animation in You’re Mine Now scene needs finalizing.
  • Replay icons and navigation icon concepts are a work in progress, inconsistencies are known.
  • Completion percentage counters in Navigation are a WIP and may have some inconsistencies.

Notes
  • No additional random scenarios will unlock during the Huntress storyline. Additional random scenarios will unlock with the next character's storyline.
  • Equipables for characters in Grid Combat are a work in progress and may not work as intended. In addition to this, we are considering moving the equipable items menu to the character selection screen where choices can be made right before battle.
Changelog for 7.0

The short/long of it for me is that it feels like "Something Unlimited" in the sense of development progression. I guess the final version will be out in 5-10years. Lets see how it is then. ;)

That is mostly comprised of the cinematics, since they include 1080p and 4k options.

Also ya could just avoid downloading everything over and over again just by ya know…actually buying it :p

Even in those many people would just hold shift and space to speed through, get to the dialogue options and zip to fap to that sweet…picture :p

Well the thing with SU is that they’re a smaller team for one, they have to do a lot more to emulate the style of the cartoon they’re adapting. And of course they also decided to remake the entire game while simultaneously continuing the current version, so they’re actually doing 2 games at once. Which is why it’s taking so long.

Subverse’s devs have stated they’re hoping to hit 1.0 this year. My personal prediction is March-ish next year. Which would still be amazing as that’d only be about 3 years in early access.

I just hope that they add proper climaxes to all scenes at the end. Animation without text or climax cannot be considered a proper scene really
That isn’t likely to happen. To quote ol Syndrome from the Incredibles, once everyone’s super, no one will be.

Basically if every scene had the same features, none would stand out. The normals make the premiums stand out, and the premiums will make the devotion climaxes (which will be full 3-4 minute animations) stand out.

Lots of false assumptions and really skewed definitions of what constitutes cheating and NTR. Also people that weren’t expecting an actual game to play to earn the smut.
Speaking with mods on their discord it seems most of the legit criticism revolves around the Pandora system. Its not so much about having to actually play for NSFW scenes but how it is set up. FOW never informed us during Kickstarter that all scenes would be non-canon and have no narrative/context. Its basically just an animation gallery you unlock by playing the game. I too was very disappointed when I realized this, to me, the whole point of erotic games is to have context and narrative to the porn.

They probably did this to massively simplify how people can choose what nsfw content to see instead of giving us branching story arcs and routes with different fetishes represented. They essentially took the easy way out and gave us empty sex animations that all seem to be fake simulations projected by the Pandora system. Very disappointing….

Well there is a space between erotic games and non-erotic games that is “ecchi” games. Games that are sexualized without explicit erotic content. Lots of people enjoy those kind of games and we have “No Sexual Content” tag for those games. They dont really belong on normal game sites due to their sexualized content so most of them still belong here imo

Sorry, mate. I think you misunderstood what I was talking about a bit. I was talking about people going into erotic games getting annoyed that they have to play them to get to the porn.

I don’t think they’re considered non-canon. I see them as all the boning that occurred during the story. There has been passage of time mentioned in certain lines.

But they were shown like this to spare the folks that didn’t want to see the xeno animations and have it be optional viewing.

Course this didn’t stop endless arguments over the mantics and whether they constitute NTR (they don’t), so I dunno.

I’d love to think so too. I honestly really wish that was the case, but they deliberately made sure to not reference any specific scenes from Pandora during the story to keep it ambiguous. People who dislike the “NTR” scenes(which they are not, I agree) can simply decide thats not canon and never happened but only MC sex did. Others can decide everything that happens in Pandora, happened in the story.

Ultimately, there is no factual consensus, and that makes none of it real or canon to me. Its actually more plausible that Pandora is just some hyper realistic VR machine the captain plays with on his time off.

Seeing as FOW has always been about the extreme monster sex stuff, I can totally understand fans and supporter got disappointed when they saw this. FOW was too chickenshit to stick to their guns and wanted to attract the harem self-insert audience out of greed but ended up just ruining the whole nsfw aspect of the game with this. That is my opinion of course…

Don't know what kind of "login to torrent" BS that link is above. Here's a link from pirate bay:

sounds like somebody is just lazy to make it properly to me though. I can repeat again, scene without a climax or text is not a scene. It's just no different from some random pixiv animation. There are many many other ways to make other scenes special. So yeah, lazy af I guess, that's a shame. I guess the game is only good enough to pirate it, see the animations using full save and delete it from the hard drive shortly afterwards haha(out of curiosity, not to fap, because most of the scenes are dead pan animations without proper climax). Well, not the first game like this and not the last either

I mean it is still monster sex. Just consensual unlike the Kunoichi films. It’s more in line with Mila Red Riding Hood, which also was more light hearted and fourth wall breaking.

During its early dev diaries it was explained the sex was going to be on the lighter side, not dark like say Claire’s Quest. Considering this is your sole project and only thing bringing in income, you wouldn’t want to chance doing something extreme and getting nixed from steam. Pandora was also detailed well before early access, so anyone disappointed just didn’t do the research.

If they had an unlimited budget and all the time in the world, sure. But they don’t.

It’s very easy to look at it from the outside and be like ‘well they could just do ____’

I’d suggest downloading SFM or Blender, grab some models from SFMLab or Smutbase, and try making something yourself. Then try animation, then try designing cum and getting it to move properly (liquid physics are sooooooo fun).

Then multiply that effort by 400 (40 scenes per waifu in Pandora), accounting for various body types and positions, in addition to the eventually lengthier devotion scenes. And all the cinematic cutscenes on top of that.

I used to be like you. But then I got some perspective trying it myself. But these guys, as well as most of the creators on here, aren’t lazy.

Save that term for the ones that pump out asset flip games on Steam.
