I wonder why people don't like the RPGM games.

It is the most user friendly experience, has a ton of scripts, easy to cheat, can be easily translated and most of the time can be played with one hand. Is it just because it is an engine at its core for RPGs? The design?
I played my best porn game experiences on this engine and I hope we will still get games for years to come.

It is, sometimes, grindy. Especially when you need to run around a map with random battle encounters.
But imho, i find much more tedious to click-click-click thru renpy "life simulators".

they try too hard to make this a "proper game" with unneccesary cutscenes and stuff and lowball the sex part with lazy loop scene call "pandora". if you use tool to active free camera mode in pandora, you will see missing body part and stuff, that why they lock the camera angle in pandora scene !

I wished for this game to be a full porn game (at least 50% porn) and not a half baked grinding bad game like this.

The game now has a minimalist visual menu and Pandora is finally finished.
New skill mode and the trophies are gone gold to bronze.
New augmentation skill...
Apparently some clips have been polished.
It's nothing new for this studio, RP and monsters (they became famous with clips /scenes on this theme)
And they added to the story as Pet manticores comb and sex slaves.
It wasn't enough to have NTR scenes in Pandora, now the captain sees them horny in almost everywhere on the ship.
One change that would be valid and in the end they didn't, make it was the use of more girls in combat instead of pets.
Apparently old saves no longer work due to these changes.

The MC is a drunk dick and his harem is not so faithful in bed, which bothers a bit those who expected something different like a fictional harem romance (and not his wyfus being fucked by monsters).
A version with just girls and no PESTS would be something different but...

The game is what it is, coming from a studio that has always been.
Incredibly, it made a lot of money in pre-production and now it might make more money in sales.
A sequel or DLCs are very likely if sales are good.(and reuse of much of the material/assets)
Fortunately, here at F95 you can find it for free for full testing.

A curious question, since she has never been in combat and her skills should be given to the ship.
And it was never clear what help the ship was never playable in combat...(find more planets now ???)
I started the game again a few hours ago and it's early to evaluate if the augmentation changes have any effect.
A side log gives some tips...but it's a copy of Mass Effect, a point and click in the shape of a ship.
Glides faster, anti-asteroid protection blip scanner with more reach...(nothing so extraordinary)

I think that problem is with potential.

With moneys put into this game, with top quality of some aspects like voice acting, its a shame that they failed to put everything together in a correct way.
All they needed to do was:
Get rid of pandora after initial release and everyone saying it is bad.
Everything that is in pandora should be dispersed around the game, it should be a prize for competing quests, or just checking girls in right time, or be part of the collectables. And have at least textual context, like in most VNs.
I would also say that they didn't invest any writing in chemistry between girls. They barely interact with each other outside of their update.

See, here's the thing with taking everything Pandora and scattering it into scenes all across the game: you'd potentially have people bitch how they missed scenes and now have to replay the entire game because they missed the window on a scene or two. Some people legit have a problem with porn games with routes for that very reason as well. They want it all in one go. If FOW actually paid attention to the porn game landscape in the past few years, they will have noticed that trend and I wager that's why they decided to just leave it as is while reasoning 'the people want content and don't care about the story therein' because, in a way, they really don't care. Or else harem games with the most inane snoozefest stories wouldn't be raking in money. Fuck all the girls in one go, that's really all that matters for the most part. Not something I personally agree with, mind you, but it is what it is.

Which makes this situation so incredibly fascinating. Since the game is geolocked for me, I also never really managed to play it much so I took the one release I did play (I believe it was around Taron's release), looked at it and figured 'yup, that's gonna be the final game', then decided to give it a honest try once the full game is out. I think the loops are nice to look at and there's worse to fap to, but I can see why that would annoy people.

I suppose the game was always gonna be hit or miss no matter which way you turn, be it the sex scene implementation, what is inside them (early thread was full of cuck this, cuck that like people were trying to redefine the term) or even just the general, pretty juvenile humor.

But hey, it made the likes of Tim Poole absolutely seethe due to the whole name thing, so there's that.

Except its not necessary to hard lock scenes behind the time gates or routs. In a free roam mod on the ship or in the galaxy you can have all scenes and quests becoming available.

Yeah, that is true, however:
1. There are a lot of games with missable scenes that have more than 4 stars.
2. These games often have guides for people that don't want to miss anything.
3. These games often have an option to unlock every scene you missed after you finish the game, especially RPGM ones.
4. Amount of people who complain about missing scenes because of branching is very low in comparison to how many people hate Pandora system.

Those are tricks used by everyone in the business because animating bodies is actually a real pain in the ass. You have clipping all over the place with 3D models. It's the reason why so many games actually have cameras only in specific spots even with something as simple as a kiss. It's to hide noses clipping into faces.

Every close up scene of Studio Fow videos in the past (like the Kasumi and Momiji cumswap in Kunoichi 2) will have some serious clipping appear outside the frame, that's pretty guaranteed.

I can't really say a lot about the first three points (apart from maybe the whole star rating system itself being pretty flawed), but as for the fourth point, well, they don't have any scenes to miss so there isn't really anything to complain for them, so of course the people who hate Pandora are the majority of complaints.

They sorta kept that scene. I say 'sorta' because it is now an unlockable scene via PANDORA, though it does not take place in the starfighter and it is not interactable. Just a vanilla scene in the captain's quarters.

And no they didn't add more interactive scenes.

Sad, it had potential. Oh well.

There was a unity hook tool which I could view the subverse instances in Pandora in every angle I wanted but that was 3 years ago and lost it, does anyone knows what app it is? UE4 hook I think it was named but I Google it and don't find it

If you are going to edit your save with the online editor don't use blueball xp. It just sits there and doesn't apply the xp. Probably have to change current xp.
