Easily. The first three galaxies you level in give very little exp but Yeti starts giving a decent amount. By the time you hit Griffin or Dragon North you can easily get 2-3 levels per planet. I've gotten everyone to 40 and I've still got basically two whole galaxies left to clear.I played an older version 2 years ago and there was not enough nor a way to farm to lvl up every girl to max, is there a way to repeat farm xp now?
Ok, beat it. All Devotion done, all girls at 40, MSQ done.
Overall thoughts? 4/5.
The main story was good. The beginning was a little rough, having Tibold just swear at you constantly was very bad porn game level stuff but the plot picks up decently well with a good finale. Erark is good, the crew are good, the villains are good. This is a decently well written game, and it's got some good twists and turns. Way better then I was expecting it to be. The finale worked. The background "lore" stuff was actually pretty deep, and they have a proper IP here if they build off it.
The gameplay was mixed. The ground combat was never difficult and felt like a waste from beginning to end. All ground combat boss battles sucked ( outside of maybe the Sova arena/Blythe intro ). I never needed to do anything but the first three Mantics, and it was just boring. Space Combat was fine though. The wave based aspect was a little overdone, but all the boss fights felt great. I'm a huge SHMUP fan and they obviously had a SHMUP developer on hand for some of these fights. Some of the later ones are a bit overtuned, but it felt fun.
The porn was good. Unlike many here I'm coming in right at the end, so I haven't had years to keep coming back every update to see the new scenes. And overall I'd rate it highly. Yes I recognize SFM is way better now, or xyz artist can make something better. There's plenty I can point out about the cum being goofy, or how the assholes work, or the plasticy vulvas, or the occasional animation weirdness.
But it's also a LOT of porn, and a lot of good porn. There's some excellent scenes here, and some excellent storyboards you can whip together. Quantity is a quality all it's own, and there's some damn good stuff in here. It's helped by the fact this is a porn game where the writing overall is pretty strong. By the end of the game I actually was pretty invested in several of these characters.
I'll be honest, I'm sick of SFM stuff where it's the same Overwatch characters again and again. Or the same Titanfall characters. This has a lot of quality animations with a bunch of new characters, and new characters I want to see more stuff from.
There's a good amount here. Taken as a complete package it's solid, and it's not going to blow away the space but I got $30 out of it. Just off the gameplay/story alone I'd say, and with how much I'll get out of Pandora with the new outfit/stuff I'll probably get even more out of that. Ideally we'll get some Celestina stuff, or new work in the space, but as is I'm happy I played it.
I think it's biggest sin frankly is EA. It made them quite a lot of money they invested into the game, so it's good for what I got out of it. But I get the feeling a lot of people have been very casually stringing themselves along update to update every 6 months. Quickly doing the new batch of story, seeing the new scene unlocks, then waiting for the holy grail 1.0 that'd be the "best".
And that's just not how the game is best designed/played. Taken here as the full package I've had a great time, because I've gotten 20-30 hours out of the story, enjoyed the full story, and now have 240ish? Pandora scenes and 10ish? Devotion videos. I've got tons of material to still play with postgame, not even counting stuff like FOWchan or potential Celestina stuff.
But if you've been stringing yourself along, not only do you have to replay the whole game. But the 1.0 update was just another girl drop basically worth of content. 20 or so Pandora scenes and the Devotion videos. And it's just not enough on it's own, especially if you are just grabbing a save and whipping out the Devotion quests real fast ( and especially if you've been wanting Celestina as part of 1.0 ).
This is a game that needs to be played through entirely to really be enjoyed, yet the EA model encouraged bits and bobs that never felt like enough.
This is probably the porn game that's gotten closest to the Rance games for me in terms of intermeshing "actual game" with "fucking loads of good porn.". So I guess that's the best thing I can say for it.
