Does anyone know how to beat the General in Underground Grove? I can't deal any damage with her.
Make sure you are targetting her and not her relic. The Default target is her relic every turn, so just push an arrow button to switch to her. Keep your health near full (at least over 150), use the two-handed attack (under Sword of Adalon) when you have 25 or more TP, keep your Iron Will refreshed (do it again when at 1 on its counter), and keep at it. It's a war of attrition (like all battles in this game), but it's far from the hardest if you have done all of the hunting, fishing, side quests, and gathered all the gear up to that point. Remember that both she and her relic attack you every turn, and you cannot harm the relic.

A lot of the fights feel quite difficult. Is there something I need to be doing to power up? So far, all I noticed is the fish and meat for stats and the side content for stats money and moves. Recently I fought cow girl and her cow stampede did over half my hp and the fights have been kinda rough for awhile so I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
Do all of the side quests like the angelic, demonic, elven, dwarven, and Sumer spots on the world map. Every time you beat a leaf general, talk to the witch, Damia (or possibly the witch hunter; I haven't sided with him), eat your protein, check both the tribes' villages for people with exclamation marks in bubbles to do their side quests (some of them boost stats), and (this should be obvious) collect all the chests for runes and then be sure to squip the best you have.

You can proceed without the witch's help. In this case, the Witch Hunters will replace her in the story.

You don't need to side with the witch to proceed. Any side will do.
Hey Zion, wanted to give ya a small review. Just finished full 3 chapter version and here is some crucial moments:
1) Honestly, new character models look way out of hand. They do not match with the whole game style and "anime" vibe. Models before looked much more attractive and neat.
2) New textures for people in dialogues are too seem odd. Again not matching between different styles, like slaves look cartoonish while bloody Jaw tribesmen are anime-like, so just how it was before. You have to choose between them in order to make the game look graphically organized.
3) New dungeons are nice, keep it up with new ones.
4) New combat is way better than before, yet still needs some tweaks. Like it's desirable for the player to know exact numbers of each individual attack and enemies HP. Btw, are crits even present now? Haven't seen my character ever do a crit strike.
5) It's also worthy to mention that most stats value is not obvious. What does luck and agility even do? There's no info in game. Would like to have a quick tip on it at the prologue or at the beginning of the game.
6) Would really wish for animated porn scenes. That's unlucky you abandoned them.
7) It would be nice to see exact impact of me helping/not helping tribes/people achieve something. For instance, if i kill Bloody Jaw tribe members= they tribe goes insane on me, thus cancelling their story line for me.

All in all, that's just my opinion and I ain't even a patron. Wish you luck. The game has quite a potential. I'd really appeciate if you listened to the thoughts of mine and other people here

So how many generations are planned for this series or is it just this one? This project is quite ambitious, which is respectable.

1- You mean the sprites? Anime style was never my objective with SC. It was a dark, serious world. It just happens that Kain has an awesome anime style. Chibi characters throws that out of the window because they look cute/funny.

2- Players must get used to the different art styles. This series is too ambitious, and there are dozens of characters. It's unrealistic to expect that from a single artist. And not every artist wants to dedicated himself to a game, it's a lot of work that must be delivered in a proper schedule. Believe me, I searched a lot. I think Zafiry art is amazing and the texture used fits the game. Although it does look different than Kain's, yes.

3-Thanks! Will do!

4-Thanks again! I removed critical from both the hero and the enemies to avoid RNG like before. The combat is more rewarding if you take your time with it to discover the succubi weakness and strengths.

5-Agility makes you act first. For example, blue thunder effect is useless if your agility is below the enemy, since at the end of the turn it will fade. Take for example the spider succubus battle without the trap hunter succubi bonus (the one you fall into the ground). It will be much harder. Luck affects basically everything.

6- A matter of time. I'm 2 years developing this game and only now I reached chapter 3. I'll never finish this series at this rate. We have plans for 20 games. 4 for each Era. I want a steady release of one chapter every 3 - 4 months.

7- I'll be honest, this is impossible for a single developer like me. Even AAA companies struggle with choices, and they have many people and a lot of resources to work with. It gave me TONS of work to do the 3 paths for chapter 3. With your suggestion, I'll have to basically developing many games inside one.

5 Eras. 4 games made of 5 chapter for each one. 20 games in total.
That's my life's work and the reason I'm trying to speed things up. Like removal of animations and working with more artists.

I have some criticism, I hope it's well received.

I find the changes to the game a bit tedious.
When it comes to hentai games there are 2 ways to go, you can make a very engaging game, or you can make a game that is merely a vehicle for Hentai.
There is absolutely no shame with going for the second one.
Making good gameplay is hard, making good gameplay in the frame of a classic JRPG is a big constriction that makes producing good gameplay even harder.
adding the pickaxe, the luberjack axe, one use spears for hunting, a progression of 2 hp per animal killed... all of it is very grindy.
I understand the impulse of trying to add more to put more in the game to make it more interesting but IMHO is not working.
Mind you, you should ask for more feedback, maybe I am the one out of touch and people enjoy it a lot but I really don't find it that engaging.
Honestly the system a few iterations ago where you spent points to unlock skills and buffs I felt was better. I felt like I had more control over the character, it felt like progression instead of being held back and felt like a way to go through the game in a more efficient way.
you have the luxury of not having to pitch to a CEO a game that has a engagement rate measured in hours of gameplay.
Just, reduce the grind. if you are attached to the food and harvesting mechanics that's ok but perhaps lower the price of the tols or raise the value of the loot (and maybe give the chest gold you can find in the intro to players who skip it without thaving to walk back.)
The campfire is good, frankly already the camp where you can sail back should have a bed to rest.
Just make it easier for people to go through the content and focus your game on the content. farming plants to buy a pickaxe worth 50 plants loot items is just not the fun part of the game.

Hope this is helpful and great job on everything else.

-You are not obligated, it's no requirement at all, to do the side stuff. In fact, I play test the game with just the runes you find along the way. All grinding is optional and completely skippable.

-I like grinding. When I play games like dragon age origins, I love to feel overpowered after doing all side stuff. Which will happen here in SC too. Since I balance the game with just the runes and none of the other bonuses.

-I have a vision for this game. And adapting gameplay to the way of life is an awesome way to develop a game imo. Aeolos is a hunter, so he gains health by eating better. He hunts and fishes and sleep well to keep max performance.

-The old system was one hell to balance. Now, it does make sense that you are collecting more power towards runes, even to a lore view. You are a trained hunter, you are at the apex of your body, you trained your entire life. You won't get much better than that. What you can improve is your heath and your magical weapons/armor.

-The pickaxe at 50 is fair, imo. Because it gives you access to a lot of good stuff, such as stones you can sell and Flint Rocks. The game will become too easy at first if the pickaxe was cheaper. I love when, like Elder Scrolls for example, you start with nothing and by sheer will, you make something out of yourself in that world. People who are just looking for hentai will be disappointed, ofc

It's better than always staying at the same starting point (there would be a lack of progress feeling) but at the same time it's not the usual "kill everything until you have enough XP to lvl up" meta.

I don't mind a bit of ups and downs with the drawing style as long as it stays in acceptable limits. After watching DBS Episode 5 it's probably impossible to shock me with a bad day of drawing.^^'

I would be very pleased if you can release a new chapter every 3 - 4 months and keep that up. As you said... it will take maaaaany years of your life but you shouldn't be an old man when it's done. :D

Guys, is there a way to band Iole or Aetessia (whatever) in this patch? Does the campfire choices affect their attitude towards you? And what is the quest for the Aetessia which is stated in the credits?
