It's not like the clans tolerate, but who wants to fight a clan of self isolated powerful mages (similar to the elemental clan in power) living in floating castles?

Not all powers of the Scorching Hell are under the influence/command of the Queen. They have other allies to call, and they can just as easily fly to another location, since they claim no domain over any territory of the scorching hell.

If a clan risks fighting against them, they might risk weakening themselves and open an opportunity for another clan to backstab them.

+ They do have neutral relationships with the queen. They are known to be excellent traders, and they supplies the queen with artefacts/materials that she might require.
Ah, I see. They bought their way out of the whole thing by still being supportive in some way without being involved in the invasions. Makes sense.

I'm guessing that the next generation would skip a few centuries to the Age of Sail or the tailing end of the Bronze Age.

It's supposed to be outlined as Prehistory > Bronze Age >Steampunk/Industrial Revolution>Our era > Distance future, IIRC.

But it would be kind of interesting to see how much the combat changes throughout the ages. One century, you see a guy wearing brass armor with an leather shield and before you know it, you have chain mail and crossbows.
Actually we are playing the bronze age. Next is the Crusades, then the industrial revolution.

Still the next age will be starting by the fifth game in the main series. The first game still has some months before reaching completion.

So, could they actually be befriended by a mortal? I assume it would be a risky bond if possible.
Kinda. If by befriend you mean treating her as a business partner. You give her gold, she gives you items lol

Yep. Each Era will take a while to be made. It will really feel like a new Era every time we finish 4 games lol

Because under normal circumstances, succubi are very rare. An Adalon Hunter would go their entire life facing 1 or 2 succubi.

And since they already have the gauntlet and Iron Will, they don't need it.

This invasion is something alien to most of them. The last one happened more than a thousand years ago.

Most demons they face are ogres and orcs.
Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. So an average or must hunters only fight 1 or 2 succubi in their entire lives, and by the end of chapter 4, our hunter has fought at least 15-20 succubi??!! The relic having side effects at random points makes so much more sense now. It's literally going to be a miracle if our hunter happens to survive by the end of this, let alone isn't hindered somehow halfway through even further.

Who knows? Where do we find these girls? (marked with red) View attachment 1575100
In the order from left to right; the first two are different love interests, one you meet in chapter 2 and the other in chapter 4. The angel only wants Kain and has little interest in the hunter you play as. The white succubus is in the prologue, hidden in a certain ruins in chapter 1 or 2 I think with Drita (succubus with the bow tie), as well as chapter 3 based on which route you take. Tied succubus is in chapter 1 on a side path. The imp is in chapter 3 before you go through the center area toward the general of that dungeon. Damia is the witch in Chapter 2. The second to last is one of the hellish generals as part of the neighboring planet side story. The last is the Shadow Knife succubus (may be wrong) who is at the end of chapter 4 with the victory celebration. Apologies that none of the names are coming to me at this time for most of them, but I think I have the encounters down at least.

Idk man, how many chapters does he have left?
Probably has enough too keep the bloodline goin
I gotta say, with the amount of relics you carry by the mid or endpoint of chapter 4, it still has me worry about it. That being said, the little rest points you take with the love interests make more sense now, as the hunter has to rest between fighting succubi each time.

The current succubi invasion took that world by surprise. They didn't have time to prepare adequately for it.

...which relic, and which side effects, are you talking about?

So, I've noticed at times in combat when using the sword, and its always been at random mind you. By chapter 3 or 4 there are certain times where the sword will show up on screen, and the hunter takes a small bit of damage, and also seems to get a negative status effect which I assume is blind as it is hard to hit afterward. It will be like a black square with white in it that appears by your health during the battle.
