man, even bo wei has released more updates to his games than zion and we are talking about bo wei!!!, the guy who took 6 months to release something new, I never thought that zion would end up in a worse situation than him

I hope this thread doesn't rest, it's quite entertaining to come back to from time to time and watch the entertainment. Zion forgets about this thread for months, ranks in thousand and thousands of dollars each month... I am sure he is heartbroken about the status of this thread. It's funny because he would never have found out about it being abandoned if i didnt tell him about it lol.

I wonder if someone could take over SC from Zion. It's been years and we haven't even finished this era yet, when the devs promised us more than one era.

Eh it's not abandoned, the dev still "works" on the game as showcased by patreon. But the snail pace of development has led to people getting rather restless about development. The developer came back to the forum to say so themselves but got laughed at for the most part.

It's not that he is working at a snails pace, ok he is not the fastest dev out there sure. His problem is that he is unfocused, i talk to him every other day he has showed me dozens and dozens of images of new girls and sex scenes, i was actually shocked how much Devil-V the artist for the game has improved i wish i could post some of the latest pictures here it's like night and day, so he is WAY ahead of Zion in terms of development. Zions biggest problem is that he is unfocused as i said and he got quite a bit unlucky with the artist as unbelievable as it sounds both artist hurt their hands so that delayed him and then one quit because he only wants to draw girls without doing any hardcore sex scenes with them so all of that resulted in him needing to find different artist to work on different games which in turn resulted in him becoming way too unfocused, he honestly wanted to quit at one point but luckily we convinced him not to.
Currently he isn't far from releasing it i should get the trial version in the next few days hopefully to test it out, after that he will release it but my biggest concern is to try and keep him focused on this game since i know he wants to finish up Warlock Saga and do something else as well... At the end of the day i have to respect his wishes while also trying to push him to focus on this game which i think has been working so far from what we talked about.

I've said it before but a general problem with western devs is their random need to just do as much as possible with no clear objective. So many developers like Zion end up making random games and side projects making the mainline product look abandoned or on hold. They bite off more than they can chew.
I think realistically the fault is 50/50. Zion is at fault for poor management of development and a lack of focus as you say. You could also argue that Zion should of been more familiar with the interests of the people he works with. However things such as key artist injuries that stop them from working is simply out of Zion's hands and something I would never blame Zion for. I am also not a fan of the hostility some people have been giving Zion. Yeah I understand people are frustrated, more so if you actually gave money but its just unproductive.
My real thoughts are that Zion could make a easy comeback if he gets his head in the game and just works on Succubus Covenant. I really don't want to see any more mid tier side games like Eden Crest.
It's his project, dude. There are no 'devs' it's just Zion. The whole lore is his idea and the universe is his creation. How could someone take over or make a similar project when succubus covenant is essentially zion's vision? I hate the guy as much as the average degenerate on this thread, but come on, asking someone to take over is like asking for sc to be done for good.

devs is a snail ... literally, he is also unfocused. He can get burnout easily for relearning the lore. I sure there is more about devs.

I just want to add my comment to the thread, regarding the artists of the injured hand, in the case of Kainkout, I read some posts on Twitter (X) about the event, including that he planned to retire, about the other artist I have nothing to say that I know , I guess we can't blame Zion for this.
As for games, SC was the reason I followed this game, but more than anything it was the art of Kainkout, I guess I'm more of an art>plot type, no matter how much they say the plot is good, yes the I don't like the art that accompanies it or the setting, I just passed on it, I liked EC, but it was more because of Kainkout's art, the plot seemed interesting, but it was left halfway.
Of course there are exceptions to the rule like black souls 1 and 2, the takamakuran games, etc., to a point I'm playing it like any other rpg to discover its story and actively trying to avoid fights or H scenes to advance the plot.
And with SC it is in art=plot, I try to play it like any rpg because the story looks interesting to say the least and seeing the new artist I will continue to expect more from SC, because the art is good, the story is interesting.
As for WS, it's just one chapter, I don't have much to say, the art is nice, but I didn't pay attention to the story, because I'm here for SC.
Now as for the development of the game, unless you take care of EVERYTHING, art, music, programming, history, etc., well, it does take time, but the art is commissioned, the music is taken from other sources, so all that remains is programming and history, programming like any language takes time and seeing that it is 4 years old I want to believe that you have already mastered the RPG Maker tool, since it does not have advanced plugins, basic combat, basic exploration, etc., so I think there is not many excuses to make, the other would be the story, whether you have already developed it to the end or are doing it along the way, it depends on the developer.
The problem here is the lack of communication from Zion or rather the lack of updating the state of the game, you cannot simply say that the game is delayed and not give an explanation as to why.
BUT, I'm not defending it, I want the game to finish at least and I hope that with this supposed pause the rhythm improves.
