Riddle me this, how do you pause production of one game because of lack of artist....but make another game with....art? 2 + 2 = 5?

I think he already had a decent bit of art for EC, since he'd been commissioning stuff for it on the side. While both artists were out, he had to do something, so he focused on EC. The artist for EC and chapters 1-3, recovered first and finished off the art needed to complete the game. Plus, since he'd been working on EC for a few months, he wanted to finish what he'd started and get it out instead of having 3 half finished games.

Old artist Kainkout, who made the art for chapter 1 - 3 for SC also made the art for EC. That was after a good while when he had his hand injured due to working too much.

SC now has a different artist, who also had a hand injury that triggered EC to have at least something for the supporters. Iirc Kainkout is done with porn stuff for good.

Honestly, even if they don't return to making NSFW art, it's nice to hear their hand finally healed. That shit would have to be discouraging as hell for anyone, especially an artist.

Yeah, that was the other reason that was given why he's not working on the game anymore, but I also noticed him still posting stuff after he got better. Maybe he changed his mind? But to answer the question, Zion took breaks and worked on side projects after artists got injured, luckily the second one is still with the project after recovering, and has (I think) lightened his load to ensure another injury doesn't happen.

I sure hope he changed his mind and is coming back to our little corner of the interwebs. Kain is a great artist and many of us would love to see him work on more h games even if it's not SC.
