Suggestion to everybody struggling with the game: always pick the blessing that makes your weapon stronger at the expense of their degradation. Together with some blessing to counter their degradation or to increase drop item chance you can manage to get to final battle easy. Obviously, the main character girl is the recommend option literally always, the other two characters sucks. Regarding the chest curses, now you need to get a gold horn looking stone with blue glow to avoid their curse.Surprise content updates are cool, but I see they haven't changed the unmitigated bullshit that is the final battle against the guardian enemies. By the time you get there you're likely going to 1-2 knockdowns away from wipe and probably a 1v3, and they're not easy enemies even with high HP. They added a retry feature so you can at least practice the fight without starting over, but you have to sit through the *entire unskippable cutscene* every time so it's worthless. Also if you didn't unequip dangerous weapons from your allies right after the succubus boss (like that new wind dagger) - which is completely unintuitive - the initial fight is just unwinnable. Also I see they removed the ability to avoid chest curses with the unlock stone, because why reward the player for carrying one around all game?
Only time I won a run in this (without cheating) was on something like version 1.01, where the red mist spell did absurd damage and transmuted from a more common weapon; so you could stockpile it to easily win against both the succubus boss and guardians.
The last 2 fights are BS. The only way I have won is with Dorthy with the Red Thorns Spell. It is made with the Morning Star weapon. It's just OP against bosses and it has so many casts per slot, so I have like 2 or 3 slots of it going into the boss fights.Surprise content updates are cool, but I see they haven't changed the unmitigated bullshit that is the final battle against the guardian enemies. Your strategy is totally bad, torns were nerfed to oblivion doing at most 16 to 20 damage. What you really want to do is save one of the good sword for the main girl, like the Prince of Persia looking blade, the ice blade or the poison blade. If you manage to get two of the weapon with even a normal powershell you can pretty much solo both succubus girls even before they can call the big stones and the same with the final boss, but you have to manage your items wisely and, like I pointed out use the blessing to buff you weapon damage at the expense of more degradation, the main girl can one shot a whole room of enemies with her fire AoD charge ability, so even if you degration is faster you just need to use it with trash items like bad maces and swords. I mostly feed dorothy with maces because her AI sucks, she won't charge her abilities wasting too much charges, her only good use is to brake spell locked doors with stone blast which is much better than destroying your melee weapons with MC girl Nellie. The more chest and enemies blessing plus the more loot from enemies one, are another way to get lost of weapons to expend with Nellie. The last 2 fights are BS. Like I pointed out to other people using the other girls against bosses is just making your life misserable, specially Dorothy, with Nellie the game is a no brainer, you just smash your way with her AoD charged attack using shitty weapons against normal mobs and saving the strong weapon for boss fights. You only need the blessing that make your weapons stronger at the cost of degration at with a little rng lucky you're done, obviously it's much easier with more blessing that increase drops so you have weapons to expend.Last 2 fights are winnable with some nice RNG and Dorothy AoE spells (not just blood thorns but other AoE like purification too, lots of kiting necessary until the guardians are bunched up, and then hit the congo line once... then kite some more), sometimes doable with Nellie with long-reach weapons, but much slower.... Sera is out of the question.
I beat it by abusing AI. When you get downed at first three guardians, they will start attacking your character and you can swap to any other character. I started fight with Dorothy since she is most useless in a team for that bug abuse.Surprise content updates are cool, but I see they haven't changed the unmitigated bullshit that is the final battle against the guardian enemies. At the end of catacombs there's two portals. Always. (At least in my runs there's always two portals).I got slime cavern on my first run, and nothing but arachne nest since...
Pink gates can be taken down by throwing a Power Cell (doesn't matter of its remaining durability) or Explosive Potion at it.I beat the guardian do i just need to keep playing to unlock arena? also is there some hidden boss or area
i suspect that one pink gate in catacomb area
i beat the slime pool and arachne nest
What about arena 5 ? right at the middle onePink gates can be taken down by throwing a Power Cell (doesn't matter of its remaining durability) or Explosive Potion at it.
In my experience, there tends to be a Cursed Chest behind it in the times I've done it in the Catacombs.
Beating Arachne Nest opens up Arena #3; beating Arena #3 opens up #8, and beating #8 opens up #9.
I believe that may be acquired by encountering the Slime Doppelgangers in a given playthrough; when going through the Slime Pool, you have the chance to either get the giant slime girl, or the slime doppels of Nellie, Sera, and Dorothy. What about arena 5 ? right at the middle one
Pink gates can be taken down by attacking with super attack as well (100% for Nellie, not sure if it applies for Seri) and with weapons that have high attack.Pink gates can be taken down by throwing a Power Cell (doesn't matter of its remaining durability) or Explosive Potion at it.

Hmm, I've tried this a few times but was seemingly doing no damage... I'll revisit that again though... maybe it has something to do with the weapon attack power that I was using (I tend to use underpowered items with the charged attacks to save on durability for the better items)Pink gates can be taken down by attacking with super attack as well (100% for Nellie, not sure if it applies for Seri) and with weapons that have high attack.
It happens at the end and whenever a character gets charmed (they will attack allies only).Does futa mode do anything with scenes between the characters. The picture on the curse looks like they can fuck each other but it's never happened unless it can only happen when you are at the end and you have to fight them. Which would explain why I haven't seen it yet
