It literally, objectively is that though. Video Games are art.and this is not some "artistic project"
For your reference, sir:mayhaps but ive seen it done in less amount of time. neither is using AI or pre-baked assets inherently bad, given you do it right. though once again i know little of the dev process and thus wont judge further :^)
Baldur's Gate 3: 6 years
Halo: Combat Evolved: 4 years
Civilization 6: 6 years
The Elder Scrolls 6: 6 years and counting
Team Fortress 2: 9 years
While it has been done faster - Minecraft took 2 years from initial build to release, although I suspect you'd struggle to find someone willing to play that ancient version - I don't think it's a logical or rational decision to hold Lime Juice Games to higher standards than Bungie, Firaxis, Bethesda, and Valve hold their teams to. Lime has a staff of like 3 people and a dog, versus the hundreds of people on AAA release teams, and they've yet to break track with those 100 man teams.
I would say that's at the very least adequate, wouldn't you agree?
