RPGM - Completed - Succumate [v1.04.04] [DojinOtome/Kagura Games]

This review is based off my experiences playing the modded version of the game as well as using the guide in this thread.

This game is interesting to review because some people might despise this game and some might love it. Let me just preface this before I get into the meat of the review, this game is a MUST-PLAY with the guide that's in this thread. If you play without the guide, you are not going to have a fun time. Secondly, I HIGHLY recommend downloading the modded version of this game so that you can give yourself as much money as you want so you can buy items without worry. This is really the only cheat you need. Also, do yourself a favor and play on easy, there is literally no point in fucking over your mental state just to play the tougher difficulty.

Story: Unlike Summer Memories (Which I actually like more overall than this game) this game actually has a story that I reallllllyy enjoyed. It's a simple concept but works so well because of the Mystery/deduction elements. I'm not going to say much else to not spoil but the story in this game, despite being short, is actually very enjoyable and interesting once you get the third ending.

Gameplay: So this aspect is going to be the biggest dealbreaker for some people. If you have played Summer Memories, the gameplay of this game is pretty similar but can be a lot more annoying. There are a good bit of "meters" and stats to keep track of and, like summer memories, when you start out, it can be daunting and confusing, but once you get the hang of it, the routine becomes simple and rewarding. Like I said earlier, use the cheat to give yourself money. The guide makes things easy to understand, and if you are a completionist like me, the guide tells you how to 100% the game. It will probably take 3-5 in-game days to get used to the cluttered HUD and meters but you will get used to it I promise. Having to constantly use items to keep your "tiredness" down and "hunger" up is BY FAR the most annoying part of the game, I could have really gone without these 2 meters existing. Certain girls and activities are only available at certain times so that is also annoying.

Sex Stuff: Pretty much the main reason to download the game. Like other dojin-otome games, the H-stuff in this game is some premium shit . I'm a sucker for pixel stuff so I love the scenes in this game. They are also animated very well with sound to make the experience so much better. Scenes defiantly feel rewarding to earn. Dirty talk is also decent but could be better ig.


All in all, if you got like 4-6 hours to spare, give this game a shot it's worth it imo

Yea, no. No matter how sexy things are in this game or whatever, it's not worth the headache.

Amazing, simply amazing.

Recently Dojin Otome really surprised me with their games. They are super polished and interesting with a lot of RPG elements.

Elements such as raising attributes, earning money, doing odd-jobs, discovering events, doing quests, obtaining equipment and other things that you can expect from your staple RPG.

The only gripe with the game is that there is only one scene variation for the secondary heroines. I would have loved to see fully developed other variations of sex scenes for them as well, as Lilim had too many that I didn't even bother using.

Overall 5/5, highly recommend. Just as good as Summer Memories and some aspects are better even.

in few words:
a good animated game and has the dojin otome pattern, if you are looking for these 16 bit full animated games, this is a good choice, but nothing spectacular.

introduction:
dude, a standard animation game, with tags not very varied and a little limited, but it leaves nothing to be desired in any respect it is just an above average game.

technical criteria:
it has a very cool story, in easy difficulty it is very easy, with a large space to farm money and try to do side quests, and in addition it has a good history with succubus and its mess.
the game lacks the ease of playing it without reading anything (which is one of the criteria I use), even though it is not a complex game I often didn’t know how to progress in the side quest (this doesn’t apply to main, which it is very easy to know what you have to do).

the game doesn’t have a good diversity of options, most of the time you’re fucking sucubus, even though with several animations (very well animated by the way, dojin otome pattern) still misses you to fuck the other girls, they don’t have more than that a scene each, I missed it.

the game has a wonderful art for these 16 bit games, without too many problems in the animation and in the transition scenes, I was just a little bothered by the details, it is better.

in general it is a good game due to the great diversity of ways to eat the sucubus, but you stick to the same ones that it presents you, so that ends up leaving the game a little stuck in diversity (you spend a lot of time making gold, talking to others, playing gatcha and there is a big gap between the fuck and these little things).

final considerations:
it’s a good 16 bit game, it’s above average and doesn’t lack in many ways, but you’ll have to invest some time in this shit if you want to finish the side quests (which is necessary to release new animations).

I recommend? yes, but only if you are looking for a 16 bit game, if you are someone with more experience you may run out of patience and drop this game, if you are someone who is just entering, this game may satisfy you a lot.

• The plot twist. I like all plots in the game except TE. It is kind of depressing. And pretty much lose your mood to fap with this game after you go through the TE. To be fair the developers did warn you.

Damn, this game me gave me a lot of good times. The experience is pretty passive, but the activities and the endings give enough satisfaction. I only wish that the relationships were more detailed, honestly, I would mind a 20+ hour game flashing out the characters to their fullest, but that's just me. Otherwise, this is a must have and I'm personally buying it on steam just to support it, hopefully it will help breed more and better content in the future.

Story, writing and graphics are good, but the true ending ruins the whole game plot, make every playthrough worthless... overall with the true ending is a good psychological story, as a porn game, the ending make all the erotic content unwisheable.

I enjoyed my time playing this game

I wish I could give this a 4.5 star. Honestly that wouldn't be 100% fair. Compared to other games, this is a 5 star excellent game. However, when compared to Summer Memories (SM) by the same dev, this is a step down. Some comments have claimed that this was released first, followed by SM. If that's the case, that makes total sense. SM is definitely better than this one, if only in small ways. However, on its own this is still a good game.

Looked at on its own:

• The game centers around a busty, lusty girl who is cute, has quite a bit of character development and tons of repeatable animated sexual content.
• There are secondary girls you get to have some H content with as well
• The gameplay is not a ball ache (in easy mode, recommended, don't be a try hard and try to wank at the same time...)
• The custom art is cute and well done
• The world design is engaging without being overly complex
• A smidge of grind but honestly it's not bad, and it goes away fast.

When compared to SM (I'm warning you, do not read unless you have already played SM):

So, yeah the game is great. I am trying to be fair and rate it on it's own, so 5 stars. The only reason I had any sort of disapointment was because I was expecting a SM-type experience, and I got one, but it wasn't as good as SM. That's my fault, unrealistic expectations.

My only real complaint is minor. There are multiple quantity:(3) endings. The earlier endings are great, endings you would want from an H game. The last is not. It is depressing. And I am only telling you that outside of a spoiler to prepare you hah. Good news is that you will never accidentally stumble on this ending. You almost have to seek it out intentionally, after having already gotten the other endings, and the game warns you before you get to it. Because of this, I can't really take away from the score (the dev did really tuck this shitty ending in the depths of the game), but it exists and I don't like it hah. Very minor spoiler about what the ending ISNT: It's not NTR, or any weird sexual ending. Honestly you could (and I'd recommend you do) just get every ending but the last one and call it there. Minor spoiler about how you might perceive the ending: Ending 3 really serves no purpose except to make you think "... damn... I'm a miserable fuck".

Tip: A kind individual has copied over a guide into the comments that can be found here. Reference if you get stuck, but you probably won't need to.

Really good studio, who makes some really good games like this one or summer memmory, good story not to short and not to long the design of the characters is pretty good but the gameplay and animation are really the best for me.
