There is no poll on their patreon about update size. Don't know why people keep spreeding this fake news. It was all because of the whiners here in this thread and in the public surveys that didn't stop crying about the bi-monthly short updates and wanted big ones until devs change their plans and thanks to that this turn out to be the #1354678 game with 1-2 (with luck) updates per year now with this shit about development time being always the main topic of the thread.
While the first year of SH was a true blast with 3 releases and people really talking about the game and the girls because in that time we had content released more frequently as dev themselfs originally wanted. And things could still be that way if the retards always complaining and asking for more "playtime" hadn't ruined everything.

You certainly don't speak for everyone with that. For me, the appeal of Summer Heat is the detail. They take the extra time to make the body language, expressions, clothes, hair, environment all look as realistic as possible and they make sure the girls look sexy and unique. There are plenty of forgettable VNs with hastily posed models and shitty stock sex animations out there, but relatively few VNs that have the amount of detail and polish that Summer Heat has. That's what makes it stand out for me. I'd rather the devs take as much time as they need to make an update with the quality that they're satisfied with rather than cut corners to please some impatient F95 whiners that aren't paying for shit anyway.

Which I understand, for me I'd rather the dev's just work on it and give us progress updates without saying a timeline until they actually have one in sight, but that is also a double-edged sword as we all know.

Most full time devs end up getting lazy and take longer to put out updates. Same amount of content but longer wait.

I think that is something very personal, i don´t like short updates because the story doesn´t go forward and in 20 mins (with luck) is finished.
Long updates can provide more development in the story, more amount of content for more girls and even have interactions and events more realistic, because with short updates devs can´t make the scenes as natural as with more development time.
Anyway is just my preference and i´m not a Patreon supporter so...

the problem is that when new updates come after long time the stroy goes out of mind and u have to play the game again for the sake of the story and not just sex stuff .... and that is kind of boring ....
loved this game coz of the renders and models but if the updates are coming like 8-10 month with 20-25 mins of gameplay .... i would rather press 'ctrl' and go for the main seens ONLY ...

, there was not really anything going on. or much of a play timethe chapter 5, take them a year to make , but it was well worth of the wait.
