I think you misunderstand. Public as in people who are NOT paying. Most devs restrict posting privileges to patrons only. IMO, that's what Naughty Fox should have done.
They were getting criticism on the Patreon-only post as well. It's not just "drive-bys" who are unhappy.

All you need to do is follow the dev as a free member. Then you can shitpost all you want which is exactly what some F95ers were doing. Hence why those posts do not necessarily reflect patron opinion. Do you understand, now?Why should devs worry about shitposts from non-subscribers? At the end of the day, the only criticisms that matter are those from people who actually put their money where their mouth is. Even then, it's still up to the dev whether or not they want to change anything. So the tantrums are pointless. Either way, the devs should always ignore the more toxic shit.
I'm not sure what you mean but whatever. I just respect these devs as I would any dev. You can do that whether you pay or not. And I think the constant tantrums are stupid especially coming from non-patrons. It's not a matter of "protecting" anybody.

I enjoy the slow burn type of game, but letting us down without even a little treat aka sex scene other than mia not even in the end is a bit messed up...

Its easy to say that this is just a pirate site, but realistically its used for a lot more, many devs come here to hear feedback on their work, its really an extremely popular site so its good advertising, most threads have regular discussion about the games (or artists) they are about, people use this site to find help with their projects. You might be ungrateful and greedy, many on this site are not.
I have to agree with Jericho, the tantrum on this thread after this recent update, mostly from people who obviously arent paying, was absurd. its ok to think the update was too short, or to not like it, but everyone collectively losing their heads and making single sentence, "10 months of waiting for such a shit update" posts was just annoying.

Update has some of the best looking images yet, and I like the story progression and dilemma it put on the MC. However, the lack of sex scenes really soured it for me. I'm still invested, but I'm let down after update 4 and 5 were so packed with sexual content and relationship progress. The update basically killed that momentum.
