Hello, everyone!
This week we continued coding and post-processing renders. The first scenes are officially in and waiting for SFX! Next up will be some branch testing. The game is currently tracking a couple hundred variables that affect dialogue and scenes, sometimes with several options. Today's header cat, for example—you could only pet him if you previously selected "petting stray cats" as your favorite hobby on the introduction sheet. That also happens to be the option favored by Eve.
We also continued working on a group scene which is pretty fun to create, but branchy as hell! We'll see if we stick to our original plan for the scene. It feels a bit ambitious right now, but hopefully it'll work out exactly the way we envisioned it.
We also took a moment to think about the extra content, such as the special renders. We decided that they'll be making a return, but perhaps in a smaller size than the previous "wallpaper" size. We'll see about that still. In the end, the specials are fun to create while offering a bit of variety and let us experiment with things outside of the game.
Last week we talked about the design workbench, so here's a little preview from there...

Cassandra 180

For Cassandra's outfit, we were aiming for something casual she'd wear after the gym. We considered slack pants at first, but it didn't seem like her style. We also considered if maybe she'd keep her gym leggings, but they were ultimately too sweaty for her, even if someone might've liked that. So jeggings it is! With a shirt that emphasizes her assets.

Weekly summary:
- 79 renders
- Coding first scenes
- Scripting evening
- Post-processing renders

Okay, so the special renders are back but in a smaller variation? I still would've preferred no special renders with a focus on previews instead but whatever.

Cassandra outfit is cool. Love the workshop idea, showcases some things for the upcoming update, it's a great compromise. Still would like some proper previews though.

The first scenes of the update are being coded, and renders are going into post-processing as well! I only started following this game just after 0.6 released, but this is already looking to be quicker paced based on glancing through the status reports of the previous update. Still, percentages would be nice to have.

So Cass's making an appearance in this update huh? One more reason to look forward to it then.

Honestly, me too. It's been months since the release of the last update and there hasn't been a single preview. Anyway, let's see what they mean by "in a smaller size".

Installed the new version and saved my game, but don't see the regular Saves folder in Game folder.
What's the new save files directory?


Update: Nevermind the above, I read the install instruction file
Save location: AppData\Roaming\Renpy\no-1618165983

I keep thinking the MC is in some sort of coma b/c whenever you see the back of his head, he looks like a much older man/older haircut. Also the amount of sun damage on his back in the pool. Anyone else clock that?
