It's out of place in what I would have wanted the story to be about. I was looking forward to a slice of life story at art camp with attractive women and what appears to be a high production quality. Tossing in a strip club, corrupt Reno 911 cops, envelopes of cash, Miller being weird, and the other stuff just dilutes what I was looking forward to.Is it out of place though? It has failed to define what it intends to be. Going one way, we seemingly have a crime drama. Going another, we seem to have a supernatural suspense. And then we have the typical college bs going on. On top of that, you have the individual character stories. I can't tell what place this story is supposed to be in
Dev can saw w/e they want in regards to what it is intended to be, but that isn't translating yet. The game should be well defined in the initial release. The first visit to the club was enough to set up a future arc, but you can't pull the plot in 3+ directions on top of the characters pulling you in like 7. What its done is create a scenario where the story goes absolutely no where and I'm not confident it ever will. If it does, it's going to be an incredibly slow chug.
I mainly look forward to art camp stuff and his interactions with Sophie, Bree, Mia, Eve, etc. I haven't dropped it yet but it's definitely been a letdown.
