Status Update #58
Hello everyone!
This week we don't have that many interesting topics or notes to talk about. We made a new batch of renders, post-processed another, fiddled with animation frames, did many lines of SFX and a lot of other coding related tasks. The usual.
We've been trying to sync the SFX better in the outdoor scenes. There's a scene in particular with some football, and it's been a challenge to time the kick sfx in a way that sounds natural. But it's getting there. We tried music as well, but it felt like a bit much for the moment. Maybe if we'd had some elevator tune playing throughout the game, these wouldn't feel so weird now. Oh and yeah, it's the soccer kind of football. Sorry Americans.
A bunch of zoom and panning effects were broken again on the Android version. The fixes are easy at least, but some always manage to slip by despite us going over it so many times. An example of this can still be found in the beginning of the Summer Heat 0.6.2 PC version. Some of the camera pans hadn't been fixed yet and that results in a funny hyper zoom kind of effect instead. And what's worse, the zoom is rarely on the characters but on the corners of the screen instead.
Non-yap version of this week:
25+ new renders
Post-processing renders & frames
Frames to animation
Polishing
Extras
Music/SFX/Loop syncs
Code edits
Android version editing
Eve art
We made some more laptop pictures, but this one might go in the trash bin instead since it's a bit too similar to the ones from last week,
and others. What do you think?

We also made the October specials, with a little bit of inspiration from Duke Nukem and Selene from Underworld. The process was fun and the artsy vibe is quite different when compared to the game renders. Always fun to try new things. You can find Eve in Selene's outfit below!
