0.6 was around 1h with around 1600 renders if i remember correctly.
0.7 gonna will have probably be around 4k. So 2h is a good guess imo. (accounting for exclusive variations and paths)

Dev time is irrelevant tho, really doesn't matter. It'll come out when it come out. Really fail to see how it could impact your enjoyment or not of a game.

Taking advantage of the occasion, the next update isn't going to live up to expectations (I'm not saying it's going to be bad, but I think it will be disappointing for many and will feel short**) ; I think that's pretty obvious, at least for me, cast bloated, big gap between updates, the story hasn't progressed much, many underdeveloped characters, etc. There's a lot of ground to cover that an update, for obvious reasons, won't do.

Well they did tie their release hopes to GTA6 so it's entirely possible they end up leaking the entire game rather than actually giving us the next episode.

Well it's not THAT clear cut. It's been a pretty long time since our last contact with the story and characters and there's a fine line between a long time and too long of a time. Of course people still look forward to the update but I honestly don't remember very much myself so we'll see how this goes.

Have they said that they're going to be changing the sound design in the game?

Personally I think that would be a shame, as I think that the ambient sound design in this game is some of the best sound design you will find on this website. The muted quality of hearing no music, only woodland sounds like the birds singing and chirping, or hearing the AC running in the background, I think it has a really immersive quality. I think they'd make the whole experience worse if they decided to add some annoying shopping mall music running over the game play.
