If her full name would be something else than Bree we would know imo. Most likely from when Caitlynn does the check at the beginning or maybe from the introduction class. And she would have probably reacted differently from the MC messing around with her name and randomly picking her real one by accident. Also naming MC Brianna doesn't trigger Caitlynn special line about having two student name the same.

Also if you have numbers, special characters, a title, if it's gibberish or weird, bad words, also if your name is from certain origin like Scandinavian, if it's super long or super short.

Just to clear up any confusion since this problem is always coming up, while this is triggered by a language change, it's the result of a poorly implemented set of conditions, the relevant code is this:

    hide screen introduction_sheet with dissolve
elif _preferences.language == "swedish":
    hide screen introduction_sheet_swedish with dissolve

This means any language other than None or swedish will not hide that screen, it's bad practice to program it this way even if they don't support mods, this screen must be hidden no matter what so, at the end of whatever list of conditions the devs want to account for, it should always end with:

else:
    hide screen introduction_sheet with dissolve

Until this is fixed by the devs (it's lines 756-759 of script_ch03.rpy in case you're reading this, you technically don't even need the conditions as Ren'Py will not care if you try to hide a screen that's already hidden) our options are to either ensure that no translation is active at the time this screen is supposed to be hidden, or hide it ourselves by running the hide screen introduction_sheet command from the developer console or a mod.

This game has some of the best renders I've ever seen in any adult game.
The dev is truly talented—not just in design, but in writing as well.
The only flaw in this game is that it lacks a good amount of sexual scenes.
Literally, it has fewer sex scenes than the number of fingers on one hand, even though the game was released four years ago!
That's why I'm not losing hope of getting an update before 2026.

We're seeing it all across gaming atm. Established devs/studios have gotten complacent and flat out lazy, demanding more money for less work. Now, they're being replaced by nobodies or people that started on smaller projects that then pivoted into larger ones after gaining the experience. Considering this is already a duo of devs whose game has failed to deliver on anything substantial, I'd say they're some of the worst.

And don't give me this bullshit about burnout, either. The people you see burning out are those who are forced to conform their work to other peoples demands. This is the indy market. That's why you see 5-6 furry games for every "normal" game. The market for them is fucking tiny, yet they're everywhere. Same for NTR phone games. This is like the GRRM apologists. There have been more substantial fantasy writers who have gone through their entire career arch just since he released his last book. Brandon Sanderson has written 50, FIFTY, books since the last book released by GRRM. Stephen King has written 12.

Devs like this, DPC and Ocean need to get their shit together or they'll become footnotes.

DPC Comes out with the yearly release on all branching paths no? With hours of content per path? Renders isn't as high quality but it's still really good for what it is. Ocean yea, dunno why they decided to work on two games and be so inconsistent with the updates. Renders are top notch and story is alright for Summer and a bit less so for WIAB. Thought theyre supposedly coming out with an update within this year consisting of a ton of content iirc albeit game has officially gotten the abandoned tag rn lol
